  • A late update guys.
After fitting the tuned FFE, I've added a Simota air filter sourced from Joel. Work done at a local garage close to my place. Air box was cut, and the filter placed inside. Carb was re-tuned (for more power) by a truly gifted Mech who runs the garage.

There is an actual gain in pick up. It's mainly because of the tuned FFE working in parallel. No jerks through out the rev range too. The FE has dropped a little though.

The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Nope they didnt make it smooth, the gear changing can be made smooth by shifting at the right time,i usually change at 4k during normal riding and 6k and above while going fast

Bike is decarbed,Valves are replaced.Clutch plates needs to be replaced as soon as possible....Gears getting stuck....
But the lone Problem still exists.... Jerks/Hick ups @ 3-3.5k RPM.... nobody has an answer to it...
Funny thing is now I have to ride my bike above 6000 RPM...
          Jerks @<4000 RPM.
          Vibrations @4000-5500 RPM.

Most bike seats are held by stapler like thing.
Hmm,will do that... guess the sudden braking with pillion ripped the seat cover in my case..

Which one would you prefer to call rash riding? Passing through between an innova and a truck @ 40km/hr or ripping through a poor Indian highway(speed limit @ 80km/hr) @ 300km/hr? I think the person who has reported didnt notice that the video still exists(like many others) here in xBhp which doesnt send a right signal too!!
Don't ask me what "I" call as rash riding There exist a "maybe" in my commenwhich I think you didn't notice. If someone reported it as rash, then the mods would've deleted it as it CAN be considered as rash with some point of view and you've been unlucky to get it reported while others who posted more rough riding had not

                        • Mileage

Hmm..... Some of you guys who get above 45 are really lucky. Im not so i guess. After my first service i had close to 41 when riding sanely and 35 when ripping. But After my second service it dipped!!! Now my normal mileage is 38!!! When I asked the SVC guy and he kinda escaped from the question saying it happens all the time and nothing can be done!!! Is it possible that mileage drops after service? that too after first service to second service? In normal cases I have heard that it only increases !!!
When I Ride my bike I don't feel like a common man.
                          I feel special.
I feel something which is beyond words.
That is the thing which makes my bike special, me special, the whole ride seem exceptional .

check if your tuning was made rich inadvertently by SVC.

on a lighter note, why worry for a 3km decrease in mileage? for petrol @Rs.70/ltr it will be an increase of 15Paise per Km!

                            • Can anyone here please enlighten me as to what an "oil filter" is and its exact location in my RTR160? I know what and where an air filter is but I'm unsure about the oil one. Some pics would be useful.

In the service manual, it has been mentioned that the oil filter needs to be replaced @ each servicing. I think SVC people didn't change my bike's oil filter in 1st or 2nd servicing. I was never billed for it either. Is it usually mentioned in the bill?

My bike has done 2100 km in 6 months and I'm using Shell AX5 (I got it filled from outside mechanic). So can I buy this oil filter part and get it replaced from my mechanic. SVC guys say we won't fill any other oil than TRU4. I hate TRUcrap. Trust me, there is a huge difference between TRU4 and AX5. I've experienced it.

3rd servicing is due in a couple of days. I'm thinking of trying Motul mineral this time. Is Motul stuff better than AX5?
