Ya my mechanic is that good and also it was my bike so he took so much of pain but if it would have been anyone else bike he would not have bothered. And another reason why the problem took late to solve was because my mechanic and me would always open the magnet at night so could never trace the problem. So when he opened the magnet at day time the fault was caught. Moreover another cause was that we couldn't get another bike with same model magnet to test and my mechanic was reluctant to change the stator plate without verifying the fault. So when a passion came for engine overhaul and it had same magnet it was like miracle. And you bet i was so tensed that i couldn't concentrate on anything. The tension was not because of fault but because of the thing that every coil and wiring is correct but still the problem cannot be caught. If my extreme shows problem then i will not have any tension but if my Joy shows any problem i cannot sleep in night. And nice memoirs, feels good to listen.

Fuel mixture looks good. The problem that you have mentioned on throttling is because of no battery and also low idle.If yours is the model that comes with big (7" DIA) multifocal round headlight then yours CDI runs on DC and is powered by Battery. Without battery now the bikes run on Magneto and since at low RPM magneto produce less ampere bike battery provides the power. Without battery when you throttle the bike the CDI demands more current and since there is no battery the bike misses current and shuts off.So solution is to use battery or increase the idle a bit. By increasing the idle the magnet rotates faster and thus CDI gets enough power. But Battery is the permanent solution as without battery you will fry your CDI.

@ Paul sir, that was a very good incident to hear. On that day when it happened, it would have been like a nightmare, but now if you think of it, you will get a smile on your face. Isnt it?
@ Sibun sir, glad to know that you have got your problem solved. Happy riding again. As you suggested me regarding the tank cover in my passion, should i remove the cover completely? or should i remove the side portions alone? The reason why i am asking you is, my dad rides it to work (he is a school teacher) twice a week 75 km up and down per day. He uses the tank bag for keeping books. Is there any alternate way for that? like using temporary bags? Regarding the starter motor problem, should i open the magnet starting mechanism by myself? I know nothing!! What i have planned is, when my bike completes 12 thousand kms, i will be leaving it for service to my honest (he is indeed, honest) mechanic. At that time i shall tell him what you suggested me. Is it a major problem sir? Should i go to mechanic for that problem alone? Good pictures you have posted there. Nice and calm place.
@ Pinaki sir, do do you have your own workshop in your home sir? You have did a wonderful job there. May be i shall also try to do it someday.Click image for larger version

I shall ride to the places that are mentioned in the sign board in the very same passion pro some day! (posting without a picture feels like an incomplete job for me. So i am finding silly reasons to post a pic.)

            Dear All

Today i cleaned a carburetor. Now will monitor performance and update.

I am confused on which cdi I have just attaching photos. Is it dc or ac?
My spark plug cap is black in color.

"All I/we can suggest you is to change the meter lights which runs on AC to led. Also disconnect the 5w taillight from AC and connect to DC along with your leds. Change reflector if its gone bad. This modification will bring a lot improvement in light output. Also if you want more then change the bulb to HS1 Philips or Osram Silverstar both are good (check my signature down below and you find the link). Also buy a regulator of bullet machismo and change it. It just a regulator not rectifier, your rectifier to charge the battery will remain the same OE. Then when you will see the output, you will love it. Everyone in your friend circle will be amazed. The output will surely blind the oncoming traffic."

              Thanks for the reply.
I recollect the Rectifier & Regulator is a single unit.
So you ask me too connect the existing rectifier to battery and the new bullet machismo's regulator to AC to power on my headlamp.
Also how much does the upgrade cost me roughly.

Just buy that regulator, there will be two wires connect one to ground. In the existing OE regulator you will find one yellow wire attached to it. Disconnect it and connect that to the another wire of new regulator. I used this regulator of SWISS make that cost approx 350 INR.
But before you go to buy this regulator, first do those as stated above. Replace the HS1 and leds. Then go for buying it. I had bought the osram silverstar for 140 INR.

How about the grounding wire, what color it will be. Should I connect the grounding to the new regulator or no issues if I leave that with the old regulator.
BTW Can I get a metal reflector/Glass lense which can fit the HS1.

                    In the CEAT tyre range it's the Ceat Secura M86 ( for rear ) . For 18" rims it's available in 2.75 , 3.00 and 3.25 .

There will be two wires in that regulator blue & brown. I've connected yellow wire to brown and blue to ground. Ground has to done in order the regulator to work, otherwire it will blow your bulb.

Don't know if metal reflector is available for your bike, but its no worth buying either because you will be using 35/35w only, 55/60w will not work anyway. Don't be sad. Just use the above method and u will see about 30% boost in your light output. It will more than or equal to all mordern bikes in the road today.

                        HI Paul,
Thanks for the reply. Here is the sequence of the upgrades I plan to on my splendor (2003 model, 43Teeth, Exhaust pipe to inlet available).
                        1) Self- start with a 4/5 amps battery. (I'm fine with the cost 12 K for self start upgrade since I'll keep this bike in a long run).
                        2) Light upgrade 55/60 with a metal reflector/glass lense turnig all other lamps to LED's fitted to the battery.
                        3) Rear brake upgrade to 130MM with asbestos brake pads.

Now Pl. suggest me what can I tinker w.r.t. magnet/recharging the magnet, coils (rewinding/guage of the wire)/more than 3 coils, RR unit to juice a 4/5 amps as well to support the AC electricals.

** I need a same upgrade of point 1, 2 for one of the LML scooters which do not have any battery/indicators option, ready to upgrade the wiring for the self start+battery minus indicators since do not want to cut the body to fit the indicators..

                        Regards,
                        Sri

Not advisable. Too many parts to change, engine needs to be dismantled completely, cdi, cam, crankcase, covers, bore-piston,gaskets,seals etc will need replacement.
                          2) Light upgrade 55/60 with a metal reflector/glass lense turning all other lamps to LED's fitted to the battery.
Not possible. Max output of the alternator is 70watts. If you re-wind the coils then you will be able to generate more amps at the cost of lower voltage.
                          3) Rear brake upgrade to 130MM with asbestos brake pads.
Possible but not needed. A simple asbestos brake shoe swap is enough. My stock drum with ANL brake shoe can lock the rear wheel with a slight touch to the brake pedal. So can yours.

Now Pl. suggest me what can I tinker w.r.t. magnet/recharging the magnet, coils (rewinding/guage of the wire)/more than 3 coils, RR unit to juice a 4/5 amps as well to support the AC electricals.

My suggestion is to keep the bike in stock condition or do simple mods such as LED meter bulbs, LED parking light.
                          Replies in bold.

I might sound a little bit rude but trust me, I have been through all those things . You can even see that those modifications were discussed here in this thread.

There is no need to re-grease once its packed with grease. However, as per your request....you have to remove everything. I think by big chrome plated bolt, you are refering to fork top bolt, but unfortunately you have to remove everything from front wheel, forks, head light, handle, everything until you left with freely moving stearing comp (refer group# F-5, Ref No. 2 of your parts catalog).
Then you will need to remove top nut (F-4, Ref#10) then bridge comp will come out (F-4, ref#7). Then there will be a special nut (F-5, ref#7), open it out then remove mud cover (F-5, ref#8) then there you got stearing comp in your hand!
While you removing the special nut. Keep holding the stearing from the bottom with your hand, and remove nut with your another hand make sure you don't leave the stearing. Remove the nut slowly. Because if did carelessly the seating balls will fall down. So you also cover that area with cotton and newspaper or cotton on the floor too, because if in case any of the ball fall down, at least it will be easier for you to find out.
There is no need of hammer.
