  • somedays ago I went to probiking and Pbk guys said Left, Right and Front fairing costs around 85k. Earlier I thought it was around 35k.

Is it the correct price? If anyone know the exact prices of chain sprocket, clip ons, indicators, rvms etc. pls share here..it will be highly helpful.

Left and Right fairings cost 10,563 each
        Front fairing costs 8354
        Indicators (front) cost 1345 each
        Front mudguard costs 4337
        Clutch lever costs 699
        Gear lever costs 1388

There are other plastic parts which i know the cost of but can't be bothered to type as its not in the list you asked.

By the way, the 'Ninja' sticker on each side of the fairing costs 850 each! that's right, 850rs!!!!

According to BS4 standards the fuel is supposed to be 91 octane AFAIK.

          • Hey guys, finished up the registration work and all of the Ninja that I booked a couple of weeks ago. The delay was caused by the STUPID sales rep guy in the PBK showroom. He wasn't helpful in any means. And I just don't want this to continue in the after sales part too. So any advice in specific for a new bike to be taken from the selection bay?

Thanks mate. I think the pbk quoted the whole kit which includes head light assembly, inner fairing etc.

If the sticker itself costs 850 what will be the price of the engine components or the whole engine?

Pls write the other parts price too which you know. It will be a help for all ninja owners.

Anyway I remember one insident. 5 months ago, one of my frnd's ninja involved in an accident. The whole front and side fairings, front disc, etc got damaged (around 30% damage), he got an estimate of 4.5 lacs . btw it is still in pbk in damaged condition due to insurance problem.

4.5L for a bike that costs 3.03L on road!

You're right, that IS an insurance problem!

Thank you for the wishes guys

1800km on odo and 1st service done in 2months got the freedom to red line

I would luv to catch up with you guys in Bangalore for group rides but only on Friday/Saturday.

I have been cautious about several things on the road like dogs, cows and idiots. I had a surprising lesson on a sunday (I work on sundays... sigh...)
It was around 6:15am I was getting on the koramangala ring road from koramangala side, I never thought one bit that it would happen.
Surprisingly an eagle came very low and in front of me... due to split second reaction, it only hit it's wings on my helmet... pheew...
Don't know if the eagle liked the green color or it was an invitation for a drag race

So now I'm cautious about several things on the road dogs, cows, eagles and idiots !!!

                  Accessories till now:
                  • Full face helmet
                  • Riding gloves
                  • Cramster Breezer jacket
                  • Rim Tapes (bought online from US and applied it myself)
                  • Tank pad (bought online from US and applied it myself)
                  • Full face helmet (for wife)
Advice for bikers graduating from lighter Indian bikes to performance bikes like Ninja
                  • Break-in period speed/rpm limit is a good thing, to get to know the bike better and polish your riding skills
                  • Ninja 250R in the lower rpm range makes you feel like a low end bike, specially during break-in period but don't forget it's a performance bike and demands respect.
                  • Ninja 250R makes you feel very confident from riding perspective maybe due to it's lower rider height
                  • Get a full face helmet for pillion rider, if they are going to ride with you frequently (Wife/GF/friend whoever)
                  • One side head light is ON because it's easy for the vehicle in the front to spot us through their rear view mirrors.
TIP: If your odo panel light is not working make sure to check brake light as well. If the fuse goes off for odo panel, your brake light also won't work since it has a common fuse. Fuse is located under rider seat.

Respect yours & others life and enjoy, Life happens only once!

                      • @sukeshak - just a doubt in my head.. arent the rim tapes installed the other way? I mean shouldnt the head portion be leading, and the tail trailing when the wheel moves in the forward direction??

The booklet clearly states that we must use 91 Octane fuel. But your saying so gives me enough confidence to use normal fuel on this trip. Lets hope nothing happens. Why I am quite concerned in this matter is that I did met a guy who was facing "engine knocking". Mostly it is due to adultrated fuel, which (most likely), I will get on this trip. Lets hope for the best!
                              Thanks!
the book says to use only unleaded fuel. that is the foundation. 91 octane or higher is reccomended. so please use normal fuel ( if possible unadultered ) without any problems in your ninja. additives should be avoided. by the way nothing wrong in carrying some good petrol in a can to fill in an emergency. 2 2.5 litre coke bottles will do the trick. will give u 100 kms extended range.
