If u have more fuel like a ratio of 2:22, then there is no air left for all the fuel to burn and all ur unburnt fuel is let out as HydroCarbon residue and Carbo-mono-Oxide. Please remember that the complete product of combustion is Carbon-di-Oxide. Even here ur bike feels choked gasping for more air.
If u have less fuel like 0.5:22 or 1:44, then there is not enough fuel to compensate the air and so it leads to a lean mixture which essentially is less power and also a damage to internal engine components due to excessive heating.

Hope I have made myself clear!!

      • During initial days when i got my bike, i used to take her to service station every weekend - but unlike most would have thought, i was taking her for a bath and chain cleaning...thats around 400 kms in a week.
Now after 13 months and 34.5 K Kms....i still take her every other weekend... and still for the same reason as i used to in the begining... apart from the ocassional visits for general service and periodic maintenance.

            • ^^^ oops a post has disapeared then .
Anyways Ravi, could u plz answer these atleast the first one ,
I enquired here and he said the profile available here for Sirac is 120/90/17 .cost around 2500INR.
Now am not sure whether this profile is Tubless or with tube altough the dealer says its tubeless.
              Thanks again.

              • yes, even i noticed some of the posts have dissappered - hope that was not intentional

                Anyways, here you go :

                1. Are these tubeless ?
The tyre comes with 'Tube Type' written on it. But the dealer assured that Michelin hardly manufactures tube type tyres - M45 is an exception.
I started using it as a tubeless with doubts in mind. But after 8.5 K kms, i am sure it can be used as tubeless. No leakage of air. And when there is a puncture, its does behave as tubeless tyres. So it can be surely used as Tubeless. No Issues.

                2. any change in acc ? handling ?
I experienced a change in acce....but if you are a tourer, no worries. In fact its very good for touring. At same RPM, the speed is increased by atleast 5-6 KMPH - which is good for cruising. The red line indicator in 5th gear used to start blinking at 120-121 KMPH with VYDE, but with SIRAC, it starts at 127-128 KMPH
Handling - It has loads of grip. I am taking corners at same speed as i used to take with VYDE. Flickability might be less compared to VYDE, but that doesn't bother me, since i usually ride in highways.
                3. praful had suggested changing front as siracs provide increased grip do u find the same ?
100% true.... with SIRAC at rear and MRF upfront, you might feel stopping your bike only with SIRAC...there is a huge difference in braking. I am finding that IRC is compensating very well with SIRAC. One more thing SIRAC is indeed soft compound - but you can expect it to last same as Zappers if not more.
                4. cost
I also have 120/90R17. I had got it for 2400 here in Hyd.
120/80R17 would be a dream come true - but i don't think its available in this size.

You will take some time to get used to the difference in rear height - its quite significant. I am 5'6'' and i can manage.
I also have hardest suspension settings...this is making SIRAC stick whether road OR no-road.

                  • Thanks guys, especially Chetanpulsar, have got the 5100 4T, two cans. So this goes in the bike @ 2nd service, around 2700Kms. I have done 1500km till now. So should I then switch to 300V after 6K?

I'd like to know what advantages semi-synth and fully-synth oils bring over mineral oil. Sorry if this has been explained earlier, since my internet is damn slow(using GPRS at the moment) I can't go over past pages.

                    • ^^^ well u can trust 300V blindly ! i started with it from 1500kms now my bike has done more than 17K

@Ravi : how much tyre pressure do u usually keep ?

EDIT : got the SIRACS today !

will post details in tyres thread !

                        • Well guys......guess what....even I am a proud owner of a P220.....got ma bike 2 days back......done 250 km and it gets on better.....one question though....

had a quite stirrin experience yesterday....actually i don know wt happened but while ridin in the 1st and 2nd gear the bike while accelerating the bike ran outta steam....i mean there was literally no power output ;( .....I had to continously switch into a bigger gear to keep the bike moving......when i switched off the bike and restarted it the bike went to normal being but for few seconds only.....same loss of power after that.....

But when I got my tank filled...the problem vanished.....I initially had almost half a tank of fuel......but everythin's all right after I got ma tank filled up.....

Anyone else has faced the same.....????

Don't worry about that. Just keep riding.
                            Ride safe. Cheers.

Congrats on your purchase.. about the loss in power while riding, it should not happen according to what I know. Just keep an eye on it.. and inform the Service Center immediately if it happens again.

And yes, do complete the running in Patiently and Properly.

                              Cheers!!
