36T rear sprocket and sirac tyre

speed with RPM

5th gear 62 @ 4000 RPM
77 @ 5000 RPM
92 @ 6000 RPM
105 @ 7000 RPM
122 @ 8000 RPM
131 @ 8700 RPM but was under 9 RPM

in 4th gear i went till 131 kmph then the road was not clearly visible i slowed down

all theses i tested in the new madurai - dindigul 4way lane

while comming to my native kodai kanal

cruise ing 90 kmph is a pleasure . and also returned a good effeciency of
35 kmpl on highways at continuous riding @85 to 90 kmph


i touched 136kmph @9000RPM in 5th gear . i went 5kms continously . the speed varied from 133 kmph to 136 . it is not going beyond 136 .


guyz post some info abt the sirac with 37t sprocket

now only i changed the full chain kit @ 16000kms

almost 600 kms runed in the new chain kit

planning to change the chain set to 37t after your reviews and ill give the
36t to my friend

but some how i won the drag against the ug4 180

It all began on the 16th of November 2007.......



And today 2 years down the line on 15th November 2009......



Its been 2 years and 48000+ kms of using my bike now! The ownership experience has been nothing short of FUNtastic. Every time the right wrist whacks the throttle wide open the surge of Torque just brings a smile across my face, absolutely no regrets in buying this bike at all. Even today with number of miles it has seen it still manages to reach speeds of 135+ and if the conditions are right even shows a 140+ speedo indicated, even the mileage has been a steady 34-38kmpl so far. For a bike that's supposed have lived half of its life (Almost full life if you consider that its a Bajaj :P) the bike is going great guns. The service center induced problems that arise once in a while are an irritant, but the moment you "Twist the Wrist!" all these minor issues are forgotten in the surging wave of torque that makes the rest of traffic fade away....

Still waiting for the day a worthy upgrade/replacement exists in the market......

cleaning sparks plugs don need force......seee u need to remove to plug...use a brake parts cleaner . . . . . or use a simple cloth....use a small tooth brush( wire brush) to get rid of carbon deposits....... DONE !!! the spark plug has a small bent platinum tip i guess.... the exact gap must be adjusted if u know how to that is..............thats it....

I still remember the day when i test rode the P220 in Bangalore and posted my review which was exceedingly positive. You were surprised/baffled to see me praising a BAJAJ product and asked me if i was joking.Nops, i was not and i knew the moment i rode the bike i did feel something special in the bike.

And yeah, the red beast of yours has got close to 500kms of hard treatment from me. She must be missing me!!

1.Are you guys(FI owners) happy with BAJAJ's attitude?
what do you think of P-220(new),as p-150 which was used by me for commuting has been sold i am on a look out for a new motorcycle with varied choices- P180, Fazer and P-220, no RTR solely because i find it not very comfy for two up riding and commuting over bad roads...

The last time I polished the bike was about 1.5 years back!

I just get the 3M teflon coating done once in a while. The paint quality of bajaj has really improved quite a bit!

Nope we (atleast I am not!) are not happy with Bajaj's attitude !

If you call investing 1300% more than what you initially invested in a bike "upgrading" then all I can say is my pockets are not so deep!

And the Ninja is not exactly a complete replacement for the 220, you don't have the 'Go Anywhere' ability of the 220 in that! Its a bike meant for a different purpose!
