  • Guys, can anybody tell me which side of the Air filter element, faces the rear (sensor), ie: the yellow or the white?

And if possible, what's the purpose of the two colours? I believe it has something to do with Air Filter Choked sensor.

the two colours of the air filter as i pressume is that , its actually two different layers of foam... one is denser than the other.. the denser layer is the yellow one ... it hold a thin film of oil to further stop particles from entering the air intake or the engine further on......

i seriously don find any cons buddy.... see the rubber kind of cover is tilted at an angle towards the rear of the bike... like a siphon...expecting to suck in air a little away(or a specific direction) from the place where lots of dust accumulate, or enters the air intake area when on the move...

silly example.... y does ur nose or nostrils point downwards ? ( to this i have no explanation) :P
they've given the air intake also a nose and nostrils.....

After speaking with him I understood it is too complicated & expensive.
However He is ready to do that but need some numbers to make it possible.
I already have 2 orders for that.
Once I get 5 confirmed orders I'll be asking Joel to make them.
If any 1 from here are interested they can PM me.
im always ready..tell me da cost..make it 1 from me..n how much money to send bro...

we understand..... whats the most complicated part in it ?
what are the things supposed to be kept in mind while making one ?

Since Joel is at work here, we can be sure that they build the FFE considering factors like the volume, diameter of the can, pipe length, etc. And as Joel himself has mentioned elsewhere, its anything but easy to make a perfect exhaust system

some local FFE makers: all they need is some metal, and some working tools.no complex calculations, no regard for customers.

thanx for that Aj..... how perfect is the stock exhaust system already present on our bikes ?

the intake roar increases it makes a k&n typish sound, but expect to ckean the airfilter element more often

                        • My bike has a FFE made by me with very little calculations.
Its more a trial & error method with minimal calculations.
People who Rode my bike know the difference it made with my primitive ways.

Now Imagine what it can be if one of the Best Performance Tuners/Racers in this part is preparing it.
Joel as most of U guys know is one of the best out there doing this Job.

                          The complicated part is -
                          1. The calculations,
                          2. The initial product fabrication,
                          3. The Preparation of dyes for fabrications,
                          4. The finish of the final product,
                          5. The testing of the product.

It may sound easy but I know the pain taking process it took for me doing my primitive FFE ( The First by me after my engineering in 2001 ).

My Current air filter needs a cleaning every 700-800kms.

                            • Joel is more experienced, better equipped than me.
Also he is one of the best.
So I requested him for the FFE.
When the best is doing the Job what will I do rather than just wait for him to complete it.
Infact we are a Team now.
In this team he does not require my help - rather I'll be requiring his help in things.
Now he is in the process of designing FFEs & Custom Exhausts for all the Bikes.
I saw his work & then I realized that it'll take me ages to make anything closer to it.
