The spark plug cable in ZMA-R and ZMR is a straight cable without resistance. This ensures maximum power to the spark plug...but there is a resister plug cap and a resistor plug used..so it is 5 K ohm resistor in plug cap + 5 K ohm in the plug = 10 K ohm resistance.....It is better to remove the resistance in the plug cap..or use a plug cap without resister. If you ask for resister less cap you can get it, or use Pulsar cap which has only 1 K ohm resister in the cap...The NGK G power plug DPR 8 EGP already has 5 K ohm resister inbuilt..and is good to use...

you can go in for Pirelli sport demon (110 90 18) which is tubeless and best tyre around, now that michellin m45 is stopped.

best place to buy : metro tyres, lamington road

Can someone give a quick update about how much does the rear alloy wheel of Karizma R cost? It bent a little when I encountered a pothole, cruising at 110kmph and when I gave my bike to a mechanic he said, he will take it to lathe machine / wheel alignment shop and will fix it, when I was back from work, I saw it (rim/alloy wheel) had a crack (maybe that jerk tried to fix it using a hammer and then charge me by fooling me saying that he fixed at some Rs 600 etc).

The last time I inquired a year back, the OE rear Alloy wheel was 6,000 +. The CBZ rear wheel can be used to replace at 3,500/- only...Mr.Phaniker had posted on this subject earlier in this thread....Page 1414

Yes, a confirmation from you on the CBZ one relieved me. Thanks

the OE ZMA Alloy is Rs.5800-5900. The older CBZ etreme alloys costs Rs.3000/- which is 1-1 replacement for Zma rear alloy. Its actually the same alloys under 2 different part numbers. Im currently using the same set up. however front is not a direct fit.

I guess the front one is good to go till another high speed pothole encounter. I will go with the CBZ one for the rear. Thanks a lot.

When I accelerate suddenly and release the accelerator, my zma is making popping sound only once from silencer. I believe It is an emission control system. But what makes it to do such sound and behaves like that.

PS: Mechanic at ASC messed up with this part of my zma. From then onwards it is making such noise.

                              Hey guys,

                              Happy New Year!

Facing a very weird problem. The battery and the right switchgear were changed couple of months ago. I started my bike after a week and everything except the horn was working. The strangest thing here is that the horn is perfectly working when the headlight is switched on. The wiring seems to be okay when.I eyeballed it. Is it the horn, the battery or the switch? Confused?

What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

What do you mean by a "popping sound"? Is it a backfire? And which part did the mechanic mess up? The silencer? A misfit silencer can cause backfire ( exhaust leak near the head ). Alternatively, screwed up A-F ratio can also cause backfire.
