You'd get some grinding sound from the rotor for the 1st few hundred kms. That would be the pads bedding in with the rotor and nothing to worry. And yes, you would see an improvement in braking distances for sure.

Divyasharan, been using ninja brake pads for some years. I have moved ninja pads to red ZMA and replaced white ebc on my white zma.

Both my bikes now running with sintered. Happy with performance.

Can you share the link for EBC pads if it's available online?

N250. No need to replace the rotor. This is w.r.t stock Ninja pads.

You can find the Ninja brake pads from any bajaj center where Kawasaki bikes are serviced if not exclusive.
Ninja stock brake pads costs 1700/- and it is a Nissin make.

                  Guys i need some advice.

My friends relatively new zma was stolen and recovered recently. All the plastics, tank, exhaust switches, meter, CDI, RR unit, grab rail, front fender, air box, battery holder etc were stolen. Unfortunately, his insurance had lapsed and now he is left with a skeleton of a zma. LOL

Since the bike has a full service history and has not been crashed, we are wondering if we should do it up with used/old parts to keep the cost low. Or should we just part out the bike and sell the parts. There are many guys out there who are looking for such mint motors for their impulse.

Should we do up the bike with used parts or sell it as is for 12-14k? We cant make up our minds since the bike was MINT!!

If the bike mattered to his heart, he'd restore it to former glory. If mind matters, it may be given off!

Are you sure the engine is still in good condition?
My friend's P220 was stolen recently, and he got the skeleton back after a month or two. Disc brakes, fairing, plastics, silencer, almost everything was stolen. Also, the bike was abused badly, he was informed that it was even used for local street races!
He is now readying up the bike with old parts and is having a tough time. The bike's engine is not performing well now, doesn't idle well, misfires etc. The bike is still in mechanic's garage due to these issues.

Classic case of Will without wealth. He wants to restore it but doesnt have the money.

Bike was recovered within 24hrs! So we are presuming the motor is still good.

Id be greatful if someone could hook me up with a CDI, Exhaust, tank and meter. Will buy the other parts from hero if i cant get used ones. There are many cheap used spares on OLX but im scared to deal with them since they are unknown and from different states

                          Cowl - 4K
                          Headlight - 1.5K

                          Fender - 1.2K
Air box - unsure (but at least 500 rupees)
                          CDI cost - 2K+
                          Exhaust - 4K+
                          Switches - 1K
                          Tank - 4.5K

etc? What else is gone? If the carb is gone, it's an additional 5K for the Keihin. I'm just giving rough prices off my head, but add it up and you'll see much the spares come to.

                              Hi Phanikar
                              That's why I gave approx prices - Cowl+other fairing+headlight - 4K+3K+1.5 = 8.5 . I forgot the visor and the V over the headlight (they are charged extra too!)

                              Tank - Ouch. That's a lot!

I had bought the RR unit last year for about 1700 odd as I recall, prices have now increased across the board for all components.
The ZMA's parts are too expensive to just assemble like that.
