Got the bike checked, mechanic said a sligh play has developed in the conset

he suggested to continue riding the bike and get it done when servicing is due

he furter added this wouldnt cause any harm or damage to the bike either

Now one common issue bothering me on the zma is scratches

there are a lot of people who either envy your purchase or have a lot of worms up their ass (hope this is within the forum rules )

tend to delibrately put scratches on your vehicles, via keys and other objects

is there any solution to this, does 3M PPF do the job ?

Visited a 3M outlet, they said they cannot install PPF on the front fairing as it has too many curves

No point getting PPF done! Vandalism if prevalent in your area, will ensure that even the PPF is scraped off with keys/blade/stones etc.
For mild scuff marks and dents, use rubbing compound. That will fill the gaps. Thereafter, polish it off with wax.

however, wanted to get rid/avoid the deep scratches that couldn't be undone

At home, park your bike and put a cover on it! Park away from sunlight if possible.

Removal of catcon from exhaust tends to increase in 2 bhp in zma?

Doubtful about 2 hp but there maybe 5% increase. That's what aftermarket exhausts do too. But then the bike would no longer remain road legal due to the excessive decibel levels.

You will get a slightly louder Exhaust sound and your Emission will go higher. No free flow Exhaust in single cylinder engine can give the kind of (2 Bhp) increase in power mentioned in your post....The ZMA exhaust is well designed and made for acceptable performance , with good FE, low sound and Emission Control....The Manufacturer knows best ..afterall he is the designer, and design parameters are best known to him....

Thanks a lot for answering my query.

                          ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Guys, my lifetime SOLO trip to ladakh is finalised in june 3rd week, for which I bought zma in 2013 sep. Pl suggest what spares should I carry specific to zma apart from regular spares like clutch lever, cables etc?

I have tubeless tyres, do I switch to dual purpose tyres or mrf zapper TL 8k kms old will be ok?

For improving night visibility, I am thinking of 55/60w bulb with relay. Will this set up put load on electricals with horn, indicators etc. Will it be reliable set up for 5k tour of ladakh? once I tried hid projector setup but its useless so switched back to stock.

Also I read in forums that zma loses a lot of power on high altitude, any diy remedy for this on the go. Like removing air filter, wire in jet, or should I learn to set lean AFR?

Spares: spark plug, accelerator cable is what i can think of now.

The current set of tires are doable according to me, I highly doubt its grip if its 100/90 zapper c old model. I was never confident with them but still used it for 50k kms. I never knew that zma comes with tubeless. Its upto you if you doubt about the grip change it.

Now for the headlight... 55/60 w bulb are direct fit no need to anything and it does not put any kind of load on battery or other electricals. I have been using it without any problem, you will be happy with the results, that's a huge difference in visibility.

Now for higher altitude problem, put a new filter and if still facing problem then remove it at higher altitude.

Good luck with your ride. Will be waiting for your travelogue.

                            Ride safe.

Want to change my stock sprocket and go for a 44T sprocket in my zmr. Is it a nice step to go fast in streets and will that hit my fuel consumption.
Where i can find a 44T sprocket and how much will that cost.
