Recently I am observing a few issues with my bike. Listed them below.

[1] There is some oil leak near the bore kit on the left side.. I have attached pics of the same. I had actually wiped it off yesterday slightly.

[2] My disc brake feel was not that good.Earlier it used to be very sharp and just a slight lever depression would mean tremoundous braking. I took it to an ASC. And they advised to change the pads. Got it changed for 1200 Rs. They also changed the brake fluid. But it did not help. Braking was still bad. I started observing a soft feel while depressing the brake lever. I again took it to the ASC. They told me it was an issue with Master Cylinder kit and replaced it. The soft feel was then gone. IT was a better. Even then braking was too poor. Took it to ASC again and this time they said it was a probelm with Disc Rotor (said there were scorings on the rotor) and changed it. Got it changed for around 1300/- . Even now braking is bad. I am also seeing uneven wear of the disc rotor. I took it to them the very next day my rotor was changed. Told them about the uneven wear of the rotor and they said it was normal. I suspected that disc pads could be an issue causing uneven wear of rotor. I told them about this and they said they had checked everything and it is fone. I am really disappointed, since these guys only keep changing spares but the issue seems to persist continuously. I have almost changed everything except the calliper unit What could be the issue here. Pls suggest guys. Posting a pic of the same.

While changing pads, do ensure that the brake lines are bled with DOT4 oil and caliper pistons are cleaned and lubed with grease else they won't hold.

Yes. DOT4 handles heat better than DOT3 in standard riding conditions. It has a higher boiling point.

@experts..have 2 queries-
1. My zma throttle slide getting stuck intermittently. I have cleaned slide twice in last 2k kms (removed black carbon like deposits by rag paper) but again slide getting stuck between 4k to 5k rpm on aggresive throttling. What is the root cause of this?

2. I have zmr front tubeless tyre 80/100-18 and I my steed does 80kmph@5200rpm whereas it should do at 5k rpm, this slight difference is speedo error due to tyre? I am not feeling any clutch slippage symptoms and top speed is 125kmph.

The same was happening on my ZMR.
First I changed the clutch plates because the variation was high in my case. I used to do 72-74 at 5000 revs as opposed to 80 in 5th.
I improved to 78ish at 5000 revs.

Then I saw that the rear half axle was worn out too. I changed that and now I get correct readings.

Rear half axle?? You mean long axle bolt?

Half axle is a hollow sprocket side fitment. The long axle you're referring to is the rod that goes through it.

P.S - half axle costs ₹160ish.

Got it..but how this effect rpm vs speed?

Divya Sharan : Thanks for your response. I currently use DOT 4 for the braking system. As you said, I will check on the calliper cleaning and greasing. I recently got it checked with a local mechanic after not much hope with the ASC guys. He was claiming that the O rings in the calliper pistons might be faulty. I can still feel the "soft" feel while depressing the disc lever. If it is pressed hard, the brake lever eventually touches the accelerator. I have consulted with a few other mechanics in my locality and sadly none of the mechanics agree that the brake is soft and that it lacks punch. They take it for a ride and come back saying that braking is fine. Probably they are too lazy to open the calliper assembly and clean it (may be its time consuming!!). Badly missing my ZMA's braking capabilities.

Guys.. Please guide me to some good mechanics who can really invest time and check the bike.

Help out guys !!

I live in Chennai.

Karizma's braking nature is very progressive. Coming from the Rtr family I felt that the front disc brakes on Karizma was not up to my liking. I could hard brake anytime and the response on Rtr was very spot on. But I have grown over the nature of Karizma's abilities overall. I have changed my riding style to suit the bike.
To have more effective braking I suggest keep tapping the front brakes and not just hold on to the brake lever at one go. Additionally also use the engine braking if necessary. The chassis of the bike is so strong that it moves like an arrow and stable at all speeds. Since all the parts are new I would suggest to run it for few more days and help the system mate correctly together. Get the brakes bleeded again to remove any air bubbles. Once done, resort to tapping method of braking for few days and I am sure you would get the feel you are looking for.
If you are in Bangalore maybe I could helped you a little. Maybe the chennai xbhpians can help if problem still persists.

Sprocket fits on top of that and the axle goes through it. If there is a play, then the sprocket may not fit/lock properly causing mild variations as in my case.

While Chennai xBhpians can point you to good mechanics, I would suggest you overhaul/replace the master cylinder assembly. RTR's master cylinder is a direct replacement if you're willing to change it altogether.
P.P.S - Never pump brakes. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

For the slide add 2t oil at 1 ml per litre for some kilometres. It will go.

And for your speedo then nothing is wrong. Your stock tyre was 2.75-18. You changed to 80/100 which is like 3.18. So resulting change in diameter is causing change in reading. Bike has no fault.

Don't go about changing anything.

Thanks Sibun, adding 2t oil method I read in PSR sir very old post to release slide. I have almost 5 litres of petrol in tank right now, can I use 5ml of 2t oil? Any adverse effect of 2t oil in carb?

If you can throw some light on why my carb slide getting stuck frequently? Not seen in others zma which I know.

Regarding rpm vs speedo error, I will fit my stock front tire for few days and observe.
