Well said anna!Originally posted by SriramEfunds View Post@Ashwin :- As you go through the fact findings, just to share knowledge, speedo error caliberation might have been narrowed with recent models but again accuracy is something still far. I've done 120+ kmph only once and it's hard to go back to company stating that bike did not rev past 120+, because they might have tested with parameters unknown to us. Even if you succeed in finding the world of difference between new model and yester year model, you'll be surprised that there is still speedo error on new models.
You can go ahead with your experiment if you have ample time to spare.
I would just advise you enjoy your spare time riding the bike like me and not introspecting the bike now and then. I'm a satisfied ZMA rider, done three long rides and have not complained even the 1/3rd of issues you have reported. I can talk about how long ride with ZMA more than how much time had spent in garage.
Note:- I've not tested the rev in neutral yet. Shall post result when possible.
@All:- It's good to see many come up with pointers and discussing the new findings. But, would also request you to enjoy your rides by taking for a trip. This bike is more to offer than just a experimenting machine. The bike is more of a reliable tourer which is realized when you happen to take her out and not just admiring the beauty in the home parking lot."safety will be the sturdy child of terror, and survival the twin brother of annihilation"

Hi friends,
I'm quite busy due to my semester exams going on.
Time for the reviews about Motul 3000 4T plus 20w40 engine oil in Karizma R(2010 model):
- Smoother gear shifts, each gear finds its plot with a nice "click" now.
- Finding neutral is easier now, although it was always easy for me even with the HH oil, but it has become easier.
- On highway, 80kph feels like a breeze, and I feel the engine quite smoother.
- No cold start problem, no sluggish acceleration felt during few initial kms in the morning (maybe due to my regular practice to take the bike after warming it up)
- Mid range feels better to rev.
- Filled Rs 200 fuel (i.e. 2.82 litres) and rode 50 kms and then switched to Motul and rode in a similar style, and it came in reserve at 107.2 kms that means an FE of 38 kmpl. Filled Rs 500 fuel now, and I'll update about the FE.
Although the above points might or might not be the sole result of only the Motul oil(maybe just due to the fact that the oil is new) but I'll keep updating about its performance in a period of some 2000kms. But even then for that price tag (I got at Rs 190 in Jaipur) and the smoothness it offers, I think it is anyday a better bet over the HH oil.

Done, point already taken under consideration. But I guess it wont bring much difference in me, since my first ride's the ZMA its already spoilt me with its reliability and have set my standards and expectations of a bike very high.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostAshwin, the point I would like to make is, none could become a master by sitting down with machine. It takes time and experience to master any. I understand your crave for learning, however, you should not be missing the big picture of actually enjoying the pure bliss of riding which is only felt when you ride it.
If you are having academic holidays shortly or something, take a trip with her.
BTW, after hearing Vineeth bro's advice, I've understood that the ZMA is a dated bike and hence its pointless in tampering with its reliability in the search for more power. Instead when I get a job, will be targeting the real Greenest ride out there...
Depends on the climate and bike.Originally posted by siddhesh View Postlucky u....but changing to different grade would give me any such problems ???

Im currently using 10W30, but if my ride's been idle for more than an hour then I'll have to choke her to get her running.
Before using Gulf Pride, make sure you'r bikes already out of its run in period, cause this oil acts like FS and pauses the run-in period.
Lucky you.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostI am using Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20W40 in my ZMA 2006 model,No cold starts or any other problems for me.

It is a Mechanical Pseudo ABS,and when brakes are applied Hard it works initially and then will reduce braking fluid pressure, leading to brake failure.Would recommend not to use it for safety sake.Originally posted by Akshaysharma View PostSaferide ABS

A true ABS measures wheel rotation and applies maximum brake force without brake lock up.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
