Ridden the bike today and the problem is gone.

It was due to very rich AFR.

Also went to svc and showed them the crack on the Cowl,They said they will take a photograph and will sent it to the company on monday.New spare shop is opening on Dec 5Th,The SVC manager said all parts including ZMA and ZMR bodyparts will be in stock.

Bought Chain and Sprocket today! 972RS.

OEM ROLON

Also Chain and Sprocket set has warranty of 2800kms.

If it gets damaged within 2800kms,it will be replaced.

2.8k's nothing Bro. no matter how rough you treat it. its going to last way longer than that.

hey guys..today bought a 9smd led pilot lamps for my ZMA..Initially my plan was to get a Philips t10 led lamps..but in GP road chennai none of the car accessories shop have a Philips t10 led lamps..so searched for a 18 smd led lamps and that too was unsuccessful..Luckily one of the dealer had a 9 smd leds.though I need only Philips t10 led, just to give a try I bought these.nice bulbs..Bought a pair for 200rs.the brightness is good than the stock ones.The output is quite bluish but not too bluish.Since im using Philips Extreme vision and pulsar's twin horn(which are very important to me more than these aesthetic bulbs), im very much inclined towards the low power consumption of these bulbs rather than its colour temperature or the brightness.actually one of my friend is using the same leds bought from tourer gear for around 600 rs, not sure though..when compared, these are more or less same. Happy for the money spent..But still on the search for Philips t10 led. Couldn't resist to repeat the same phrase again and again..With Philips Extreme vision, im exxxttreeemly happy

Good job there. The reason why I did not go for Chinese products is that they are pretty much originated from the same manufacturer and labelled acording to their customers and they in turn price it up at will. We need to be deligent while spending money on Chinese products is my opinion. Also, Vivek, in GP Road Opposite to HDFC Bank there is Philips dealer and you might want to check for T10 leds, if not available shall request him to be ordered from Mumbai.

Anna are you referring the Auto Impex shop, the philips dealer?the shop in first floor of a complex!!first reached him only but came out empty handed.Anyhow the shopkeeper informed me the same,"have to order it and you can try probably next week".started to count the days!

All zma users. Please rev your bike till 7k in neutral and observe whether the speedo needle jumps to 20~30 and please post results along with bike's year of make.

What are you trying to acheive here? You posts sounds funny when there is no detailed information on the reason behind your post.

First, I'll not rev hard on neutral as I do not see any purpose. Second, what is the issue?

I had clarified to him that pre-2011 ZMA bikes had this problem of Speedo showing 20~30Kmph if the bike rev is taken in neutral above 6 K ..Aneesh bike has it, and my bike has it...so I guess he is on a fact finding mission.

Sir, recent findings have led us to believe that the pre 2011 ZMA's have a 20~30Kmph speedo error after crossing the 100Kmph mark. Is the same reason why a while ago some ZMA user's claimed their ZMA to cross the 140Kmph mark where as our newer ZMA's could only reach a top whack of 125Kmph.

So test is to see whether the speedo shows any suspicious readings around the 6K(90~100Kmph mark). So far here are the results.

Pre 2011.
1. PSR Sir.(2007) - Error present.
2. Aneesh bro(2006) - Error present.

2011.
1.Me(2011) - Error NOT present.
2.vivekarizma(2011) - Error NOT present.

So my conclusion is everyone post their replies this theory could be finalized. And if by chance any pre 2011 ZMA user doesnt have the error, then we can enquire about any replacements he recently made and find a fix to the issue for the rest of the users.

He told me the same and he said if the speedo has speedo error,it will be shown when we rev it to 6k or 7k rpm,So i revd mine to 6k and it showed some 20 or 30's in speedo,he said its the speedo error.But i dont think its true.AFAIK most of the speedo needles moves due to vibration in neutral gear,how can it be connected to speedoerror?

You may be right bro, but here are the facts that support the speedo error theory.
1. Only happens in pre 2011 ZMA's.
2. Only pre 2011 ZMA's are capable of doing 140+Kmph on speedo, 2011 ZMA's stall after crossing the 125Kmph mark.

Do you think this is speedo error?

I believe thats the Type 2 model of Maruti 800.
I was testing my friends(Type 2) ride to see if there was any knocking sound coming from the steering rod when driven at speed excess of 80~100(cause my other friend with Type 1 has this issue and we were trying to make sure if Type 2 had this issue, if not then we were going to do a transplant mod.), and surprisingly the speedo reached 110Kmph very fast, but the funny thing was at the same time he was riding by me in my Kiney. End of story. .

Yes' bro. But now am trying to pin point the exact reason for the error.
Im still confused, cause both you and psr sir, are using 9ah batteries, so even that may have a play in this issue.
