A true ABS measures wheel rotation and applies maximum brake force without brake lock up.

Thanks sir for the information but is there any other ABS system for zma i would be happy to use it because i had a fall due to skid who's result are till now in my ride as the fiber part broke and its vibrating and sound's during the ride.

[/QUOTE]I will share my probs with you...kindly help me on this...

My bike is having lots of trouble now...

      1. Blasting sound from silencer most of the time.

      2. Knocking like sound ( still haven't figured out whether its engine knocking or not)

      3. Self start sometimes don't work ( battery is new)

      4. Sometimes during starting just the cranking sound and then the meter gets reset. (except odometer)

      5. Brake light not working (mechanic told me some spring on the lever is gone and available here in stock)

      6. I would actually like my tail light changed to LED's.

      7. My mileage used to be 36kmpl but once it went down to 30kmpl all of a sudden and its still that. No change...

      8. Need guidance in changing my tires also. (I am planning on M45 4.00 18" for rear and M62 Gazelle 3.00 18" for front)

      9. While accelerating it gets cut off suddenly thus disturbing the smooth flow of riding. My mechanic cleaned out the air filter but the prob still remains in a small scale. Its really irritating...

Guys i also need ur help in finding a good mechanic for my karizma in Trivandrum because i am little low on technical side. The local mechanic i had is good in bullet and other bikes but i doubt his ability in Karizma. Pls help out.

hai prem..I can understand your concerns regarding your zma. But before shooting out the problems please do share something about your bike like the year of purchase, kms ran, etc so that it would be easier for the experts here to provide the best possible solutions and suggestions. Cheers!

That was just figurative speech. What I meant was the Gulf, when used on my bike, paused the whole run-in process, the whole time I was using Gulf there were no changes to my bike at all, the gears were still hard the bike was behaving strange and all that, but once shifted back to 10W30 HH oil, everything was back on track and just in a few hundred kms my gears started becoming smoother and fell into place with a CLUCK noise. So I guess its safe to recommend, to keep away from Gulf if you'r bike's in RUNIN.
And hence FS has the same effects on a new bike, I related them.

Are there any leaks, or can you feel excessive heat on your legs???
My friend had the same issue with his bike, and when ripped hard hot oil leaked from it. BTW he was using Castrol FS.

Total crap bro, I've seen em in action. They totally numb out you're brakes. And it'd be more meaningful to swap the disks with drums rather than use them.

Bad Petrol?Which petrol are you using?

              2. Knocking like sound ( still haven't figured out whether its engine knocking or not)
Might be tappet issue or Cam tensioner issue,Please provide us more detailed explanation of knocking,When is it happening? At all time? or during some particular time like when the engine is hot?

              3. Self start sometimes don't work ( battery is new)

              4. Sometimes during starting just the cranking sound and then the meter gets reset. (except odometer)
Both indicates a low battery proble, get the battery checked from a good battery shop.also check connections to battery terminals for corrosion or loose contact.

              5. Brake light not working (mechanic told me some spring on the lever is gone and available here in stock)
Brake light switch is gone,Will have to replace the switch near the rear brake pedal.

              6. I would actually like my tail light changed to LED's.
I dont think its worth. It will cost you min of 100rs,what if you need a replacement? LED wont be in stock and how park and brake light work if you put LED like this?

              7. My mileage used to be 36kmpl but once it went down to 30kmpl all of a sudden and its still that. No change...
When did you serviced your bike last time? When did you replaced airfilter and sparkplug last time?

              8. Need guidance in changing my tires also. (I am planning on M45 4.00 18" for rear and M62 Gazelle 3.00 18" for front)
              You have many options,
              REAR:

              100/90-18

              Sirac Street 100/90-18 TT 1950+

              110/90-18

Michelin M45 as you said, its very rare to find now
              Pirelli SD 110/90-18 TL

              120/80-18

Sirac is available but heavy, will reduce mileage, acceleration and topend.

              FRONT

              M62 Gazelle very good tire
              Sirac Street
              M45 if available

              9. While accelerating it gets cut off suddenly thus disturbing the smooth flow of riding. My mechanic cleaned out the air filter but the prob still remains in a small scale. Its really irritating...
Might be due to clogged airfilter, bad plug and even dirt in carb.

Guys i also need ur help in finding a good mechanic for my karizma in Trivandrum because i am little low on technical side. The local mechanic i had is good in bullet and other bikes but i doubt his ability in Karizma. Pls help out.
I have a good mech at an SVC in my city.Reliable and good work.

Since you've completed 30k on the odo, I believe you'r due for a complete overhaul...
And having spoken to many TVM user's I guess its best you bring you'r ride to Kollam, I'd recommend either Diya Motors or Venad Motors if you'r planning to do it by SVC itself, else Babuji's 'Hero Honda Clinic' the best option you've got.
We may not be the best, but we're not the worst either.

Yes,Me too think so,it needs an engine overhaul to solve these problems.

Not babuji,I wont recommend it for this case,We are uncertain about what to replace,so if we get it done at an svc, spares might not be a problem,If we do it at babuji,we have to ran kms just for buying a bolt or even a bulb.

Leave it there, will discuss it later, first find out whats the exact problem and how we can solve it.

                  • @aneesh: Thanks for the welcome.
I will check the battery side for my self start problems.
I am using ordinary petrol because i heard that speed like petrol is not good for bikes.
                    Got it serviced recently.
About the knocking noise, its there most of the time, sometimes from start sometimes when riding.
I will look into the Tyre matter.

Ok.What are things done in last service? You got it serviced from the SVC(Service Center) or from a local mechanic?
