The throttle Grip/twist area is not water proof in ZMA/ZMR and once water gets in it slides into the throttle cable, sits inside and the steel cable rusts....Even water wash in this area must be done after covering it with plastic wrap or the same problem occurs...

Did you tighten the spark plug fully crushing the crush washer ?

Thanks for the plastic wrap solution sir.
And regarding the spark plug, that was my old spark plug that was fit onto my bike when I was in Chennai. I rode the bike for 12k kms with that plug.

Anyways, I checked the new plug that was fit a while ago, and the washer is flat there. So I guess its crushed.

In future please post details that are current and not misleading like the picture of a plug which is not in use....

        • Changed my engine oil to "HONDA Throttle" fully synthetic oil and now the bike is running like a silk worm, earlier I was using Gulf pride 20w40 and this new oil is 10w30 synthetic hope its not going to do any damage and also changed the rear tyre to 110 Zapper that comes as standard with the bullet classic. Now the rear looks sexy

Have you used any other synth's before? I remember Vineeth bro giving a neutral review about the same, now am running on Motul 5100 15W50 SS, and if Honda Throttle, is good enough(And rightly priced.) might switch to it in the future.

              Pic's please.
The oil is 504 rs for a litter, had to buy two of them . I havnt used any other synthetic oil but after psr sirs advice I changed my oil to Gulf pride and the bike was super smooth but with a hesitation for the first ten fifteen minutes of riding and after that it was really good but this new engine oil exceeds far better than the gulf pride in terms of engine refinement. When I was using gulf pride the main problem was when the engine was cold it seemed it was struggling to idle as if the crank had too much of resistance due to the extra thickness of oil. But now everything is feeling good

Right now I am having a fever and I am stuck to my bed but will post a picture as soon as possible. If you get a chance have look at the new bullet classic rear tire, the thread pattern and the thickness is super cool and its "almost" rubbing the chain guard
But now I am facing a problem of bike not handling as it should be earlier it was rock solid on strait but now after putting back and adjusting the chain it feels like I have to sit and put extra weight towards the right to keep the bike stable and the handle is like shaking small bit, have never been in any accidents. I think I will get back to the service centre and ask them to adjust and refit the rear wheel.

                • @Shabeer bro.

After I upsized both front and rear, I had stability issues, its was like, I lean abit and the bike would, super lean and scrape my toe, it went on for a while and finally got used to it and now, bike handles better than stock and I've never felt more confident while high speed cornering.

                  • Yes you are right on that, I too felt the difference but I didnt pushed it harder since the tyre is new, I will wait for few km for the tire to become a little older but at the moment I feel it a bit slippery the main reason for me to change the old tire was due to the lack of grip it has on the middle portion. So are you feeling any major difference after moving on to the Synthetic oil

Wise decision, it is advised NOT to push a new tire hard unless they've been ridden for a while or scrubbed up, cause the surface will be slippery and there's a high chance that the bike will loose traction.

So are you feeling any major difference after moving on to the Synthetic oil
                      Experience changes with oil,
Petronas Sprinta 10W40 FS => Cheap at 445/- and initially felt the block to rev easily but after a while it felt similar to using Yamalube 20W40 Mineral. The worst part was on draining I found metal shavings.

Motul 7100 10W40 FS => Expensive at 750/- initially felt like crap cause the overheating in traffic felt more noticeable, but after a while bike was butter smooth, and I had used this same oil for my Pondy trip too and it was still doing fine, no major drop in oil level and on draining it seemed like it had a little more life left.

Motul 5100 15W50 SS => Reasonable at 500/- am currently running on this, its a heavy oil just like Gulf Pride 20W40 Mineral. The drag can be felt, but surprisingly theres no drag while cold starting which was a major issue with Gulf. So I guess for the price its a fine oil, and I'd recommend it for tourers cause no matter how hard you revv oil is still super thick.

I used 20w50 once. Damn the oil was so thick, I could barely ride with it. I agree, vibrations got damped to a great extent.
But there were far more cons - took like forever to reach 80 kmph, highway mileage reduced to ~38 kmpl, bike became extremely sluggish etc.

I'd stay away from xxW50 grade. My touring/ commuting needs are fulfilled by Mobil1 10w40 FS.

Yesterday night, suddenly my bike's electricals gone kaput. Headlights not working. Indicators not blinking. If I put indicators, pilot lamps blinking. :-D

Need to check the wiring today for any short issues.

And I had to ride 15 kms without headlights. The powerful LED pilot lamps saved me.

I now ride at 2~2.5k RPM when I'm leisurely riding, and at 2.5~3k when am in a hurry.

Common issue with ZMA I presume. Cause I remember Arun bro reporting something back a year ago in which his speedo unit would go bonkers on turning handle, and Aneesh bro had also mentioned he had a similar issue, in which his pilots would light up when be braked.

                            Edit,
Yesterday night after dropping off a friend I tried to start the bike and it would die the moment throttle was given, I tried resetting the ignition but nothing happened, tried with choke and the same happened, and it was getting real dark and the area was deserted, so with the light from my phone I went down to check the intake and I saw the TPS wire hanging by it, just pulled it out and started bike, it started and when I gave throttle it didnt die, I wasnt sure if it was coincidence or anything, I just rode home, took out the CDI cleaned contacts, plugged back TPS and bikes running fine.

Ashwin, it's not a common issue if the wiring is kept intact. I cut my main wiring once to accommodate twin horns. That's the culprit as I presumed. I am cleaning it now and sealing it properly. I will give the details soon.

Why cut wire? Please post pics.

I'm also using Twin Horns actually Windtones, and I didnt have to cut wire.
