by the way hows the performance owing to the bridgestones front and back and 170cc engine, though i think your braking must be nothing less than phenomenal. and hows the dynamics of the bike with all those things put together. have you even modded the swing arm. By the way how much it costs for the 170cc kit, whats included in it and what does it eventually produce
    X2, bike looks phenomenal...

EDIT: AHM exhaust: does it makes any difference in performance ?
My thoughts are subjected to personal experiences/internet articles. Please read my comment carefully before replying. :)

The handling is very good now, the only thing I still want to upgrade is the performance. I used the 170cc kit and it is really fast but not smooth, I think you need a good tuner to finetune the engine. Here they just put it and that's it. I prefer a smooth bike with good braking and handling.
For the rear tyre I had to cut the swingarm a little bit, but only 1mm or something. I paid US $90 for the 170cc kit its from TDR Racing, here is the link:
        TDR Racing
It says Jupiter MX, but it fits the Vixion/R15.
The AHM exhaust is great, but loud. It was too loud so I placed a homemade silencer inside, and now its perfect, the sound is like rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, but with a bass. And its real carbon fiber, with a gold/blue welded pipe. It feels a little faster then the original, but not much.
I have to go to my dealer now because the discbrake problem is back. My front discbrake makes noise when I drive, its really annoying. Yesterday they cleaned the caliper and it was gone for 5 minutes.

hey 90$ seems worth any given day. and thanx for the info, bro will it be fine with you to ship some of the stuff if ppl like me are interested in it.?

hey just a thought but plz check the alignment of the front wheel, what i mean is check weather the front wheel rotates freely and the edge of the rim does not dangle while it rotates, i mean if you have rim stripes then it should look smooth while under rotation. this might help COZ a friend of mine had same problem and the meach guy from SVC said that the alloy was hit badly under low air pressure on a speed barker or some ditch and the dent was really minute but it crated a lot havoc later. let us know how the problem is sorted out when you do so

Yes shipping is no problem, I have a postoffice right in front of my home. The sound is gone now, I hope it stays gone. They cleaned the disk and the pads again. I checked the alignment but the wheels rotates easy and smooth, so I dont think thats the problem. Thanks for the advice.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                        • Now how smart is a move to add IRC 120/90 tyres at the back and keep the stock rear tyre at the front... Or, Just removing the back stock rear tyre and keeping the IRC one will be honorable. How are the IRC tyre in terms of road grip and its durability.. Or should I go for the MRF Zapper 120/90.. Or is it worth not changing any?? Confused and need suggestion... Thanks

IRCs are good in terms of performance and road grip...but no one here would really recommend you to go for an upsize.

                              • Hello all..

Finally (i) a wait of 8 months, (ii) going through various forums (reading the whole R15 thread twice on xbhp apart from other comparison posts), (iii)seeking advice from friends and (iv)a teaser ride, is going to culminate in my booking this bike next week.

I will be going for the Midnight Black color (new one), as I was initially planning to go for the old black/red (but discontinued now it seems). New red is awesome, but not to my taste... yellow also looks funky but again I wanted something subtler so settling for black. And blue,well.. its getting a bit too common now (no offense to anyone, none to be taken actually )

I had gone to Venkatesha motors in Somajiguda, Hyderabad, yesterday, to inquire about the pricing etc., and Mr. Sharad from the showroom quoted an ex-showroom price of 98,000 INR, and on-the-road price of 1,10,300 INR. I had initially visited a Yamaha showroom nearer to my home (Patny motors) but I didn't like the attitude of the people there, they weren't even offering test rides of R15 and Fazer, only FZ16.

Minimum booking amount at this showroom for the R15 is 5,000 INR. I will be taking the bike on finance, due to 2 reasons (my brother will be going to a flying academy soon to start his course, quite a distance from my place, it will be easier for him to commute if he has a bike soon ie. my old one, and 2nd, the most important reason: I CANT WAIT) I know some people don't really approve of the loans n all. But samjha karo yaaron.. I feel like telling you all because your approval does mean something to me!

Ok, more updates (and pictures) when I get the bike delivered. I wanna thank all the informative and helpful R15 owners who post experiences here. You have been instrumental in my final decision.

Boht bol liya.. next post with pics. Mr. Sharad said minimum 7 days for delivery, after booking. Maximum it may extend till September first week. I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best, will be booking tomorrow or by tuesday evening at the latest.
