I guess they would come up with new color options No comments about the second part

      • Planning to buy a new bike. I am considering P135 after long search. But I am confused with the P150. The showroom guys told about the new version of p150 might be available in first week of August. I know 150 will be more effective than the P135, but taking the price diff of (Rs.-11K) into mind will P135 will be a good buy than p150 which is indeed with the 4valve engine tech specs and the mileage. I am very much confused as alwyz. I m planning the buy in the 2nd week of August. Thanks in advance.

        • Hie xbhpians,

How many of you here have seen tail light integrated signal indicator? How many of you are interested in getting that done on their pulsars? I've been using this setup for more than 1.5 yrs now. Mine's the only pulsar with that kind of indicator.

How many of you would like to see a DIY for it?

The all new P150 launch is not yet confirmed for august. If it comes it should be a overall good bike. If you cant stretch your budget for P150 then go ahead with the P135. All you need to do before buy a bike is proper test drive so that you wont regret after buying it

I'll upload some pics tomorrow Prabhakar

But for now i just completed a DIY job of fixing FZ's rear tyre hugger onto my Pulsar 150 UG 3.

It may not be a super neatly finished job coz i bought it today and i was very much interested to get it fixed today. I just completed it now. It took about 3.5hrs for me to fix it. Lot of jugaad i must say.

I had been inspired by bluevolt's similar kind of job done on his Ninja.

I'm really sorry about the pics they are worthless, i know, but for today i guess this should suffice. I'll take pics tomorrow in the evening and upload. Please let me know your comments on this.

Ha ha just like me. I am very curious to get the things done on the first day itself. Must say the work on Ninja was very neat. But i cant see the mod have done clearly from the pics you posted. A daylight photo will do better
Btw how much does it costs for FZ's rear tyre hugger?

                  • How would i come to know if my rear suspension's life is over? Has anyone here changed theirs and when? Lately i'm feeling even tiny bumps and nothing is getting damped.

Please let me know how to check this correctly. The spring is on the softest setting.

                    • Many doubts popping up in my head. Sorry.

Prabhakar, this is the first time i'll be letting my chain open. I always had the chain cover on until today. I can't fix it back because of the hugger now.

However, the bottom portion of the chain cover can be fixed, i tried but fixing only that is looking very ugly.

Is leaving chain open bad for UG3 model? Most new bikes have their chain open but i have a doubt if they have some special improved chain that's resistant to corrosion?

Come on bro, this is the place to clear our doubts, keep asking
Reg the chain, yes the new bikes like p180/220 and all come with O RING chain, that requires less maintenance than conventional chain. But in my personal experience i feel that the o ring chain makes lot of noise if not lubricated compared to regular chains. My bike running with open chain cover for the past one year and no probs yet. Even if i dint lubricate it doesn't make irritating noise. But dont let the water fall on the chain, it will start rusting. All you have to do is clean and lubricate it regularly

I dont know how to identify faulty suspension but nowadays my bike's left rear suspension started to make noise.. In your case, refill the nitrogen in the shocks and see whether it works out.

Yes i am really shocked considering its a Yamaha spare.. The open chain cover of p220 that i bought costs 78 rs, comparing with that i feel fz's hugger is priced very cheap.. I am going to give it a try this weekend good DIY there

Thank you Prabhakar. Can we fix P180 chain on our bike? The P180/220/ZMR chains make some different kind of noise compared to ours. I thought it was because our chains were closed and we weren't able to hear it. I didn't know the chain type itself was completely different.

Can nitrogen be filled only by the Bajaj A.S.S or even by Castrol? I have never filled nitrogen in the shocks after i purchased the motorcycle. Its done close to 54k now.

Oh and did i mention my bike has done close to 730+km after the engine overhaul.

Ya we can fit, thats very simple, just have to put a hole on one end. But it will touch the tyre so need to shave that side a bit. Check my album, but i have completely changed the design though

Other bikes doesn't make such a noise, it is only pulsar's (180,200,220) chain that makes irritating noise.. Just google it for o ring chains and you will know the difference. They keep the lube for longer duration than regular tyre so less cleaning and lubricating is required for them.

You can fill it even in castrol bike zone, its not a big deal

Hmmm actually its not so smooth just after 50. Even 51-52kmph is making a dfference and i'm able to feel vibrations on the handle bars, just like how it feels when we touch a mixie. I don't know why that's happening.
