I feel that it is coming from the engine-chassis holding bolts, but have checked all the tighteners and they are in very good condition. No screw or bolt is missing, so it seems fine that way. I happen to hear this heavy rattle when I am accelerating and go beyond 20 kmph in any gear. It feels like the chassis is going to just come off. The rear too tends to make rattling sounds when I cross some uneven roads. I have checked the tool set and it is secured tight. Any ideas or inputs on this?
Dont got idea for front end maybe you broke up your tail light.....do check it

Friends... I want to know what can be the reasons of carbon depsition over the spark plugs?

My mileage is healthy at over 50 kmpl & engine oil level doesn't reduce abruptly.

I own a UG 2 model (july 2006) & have run 31000 km till date. I dont rip & ride only within the city.

But off late, I am finding trouble starting the engine. So I checked the spark plug. It was full black suggesting carbon deposition. When I cleaned the spark plugs, starting trouble was gone. But the problem resurfaces after every 100 kms. I have changed the spark plugs just 2000 kms back.

One thing which I want to mention specifically is that my riding frequency is very less. since my working place is in a different town, only when I return home for weekends etc, I get the opportunity to ride. Thats almost 3 - 4 days in a month. rest of the days, my bike remains idle.

What can be the main issue?

Get the carb tuned and cleaned mate. Also, alternatively switch a to a better fuel station, a Company-Owned, Company-Operated.
Try Shell Fuel, its really good quality.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I even think I should get the valves checked too. what do you say?

Regarding the fuel bunk.... I stay in a place where there is no company owned/operated fuel station . so... nothing can be done about it!!

That would be good, but I don't think it will make much difference. You can go step by step. Analyze each move and if you feel the difference you can go ahead with other changes/tuning. That way, tracing back the steps is easy just in case something doesn't go really well.
Try a new fuel station that is popular/reputed, not necessarily Company Owned. My Pulsar doesn't like HP fuel for some reasons and is OK with BP and damn happy with Shell. Perhaps you might even feel this difference.

Yes mate.... you are absolutely right. Tracing back the steps is much easy!

one more thing! since the air filter is Foam type, its imp to keep it oily most of the time. Mine might have gone dry! can this be a problem?

I hardly doubt that. Its not exactly oily in the foam filter actually. Its just a few drops of oil spread across evenly to capture dirt more efficiently. It won't make your spark plugs black and that too so soon. I suggest you find a new fuel station and fill it up. The best way is to almost empty your tank, even the reserve and then fill good fuel.
You can also take help of SVC to check if there is rusting in your tank or the fuel line has got some deposits.

Some idiot has stolen my right rear view mirror and the bike looks horrible now. I feel like I have only one eye now.
Does anyone know about the price of the rear view mirrors and also, do they come in pair or can we buy a single piece?
TVS Apache's rear view mirrors cost 140INR per piece and they look far better than the OEM ones on our Pulsars, so if I don't get a single piece, I will get the Apache's.

EDIT : Although the mirror stalk, plastic case and rubber look terribly bad and not even close to the stock piece, I bought the right side mirror from Bajaj SVC. Checked in the showroom, the on-sale bike and found that to be a norm.
The SVC guy told that the clamp has to be changed since the threads are broken. I knew it was Bull's nature call output so just took the mirror and left. Went to another newly opened SVC near my place and told the same. A guy came running out of the service bay and turned the mirror stalk in the opposite direction to put the threads back to normal on the clamp. TA-DA, mirror is back and I can see the world with both the eyes. Got petrol lock installed too for 110 INR.

That price diff is because of the absurd costs associated with any vehicle/part in Andhra Pradesh. Astonishing that Prices of almost all the vehicles is 2nd costliest in India after Bangalore.

P150 deploys a normal chain so it has chances of getting rusted too soon because of the mud and slush and salt lke elements after rains. You can also try for changing the chain from the regular ones to the X-Ring or O-Ring ones found in bigger Pulsars. But those chains are heavier than our normal chain. This might effect the sprocket sets too. If the chain size and measurements are same then try to get the ones on Honda Dazzler or Stunner.

OT : I see that you are from UK mate. How is it there now? My prays go out with the deceased and effected.

will soon change to ine from KTM if it matches or reduce 3 links and use p180 o-ring
