It depends,40-45 is the average mileage u should get on 180 under normal/sane riding conditions and all the members are getting in the same range except abhi who is getting some unusual figures,ie.above 50

AND yup,i was in chennai,@nanganallur to attend a marriage function.

I usually do 90 plus everytime i take my bike out and be it highways or mad mad traffic i keep it at more than 7k rpm no matter what!! Doing this will make your bike smooth at high rpm range, when i ride my friend's p180 it feels somewhat harsh after 7k and at 9.5k it feels like engine will blast!! I guess as i ride at high rpm's my bike got used to it and it feels much much smoother than other 180's
Replaced the clutch plates at 30k kms and pickup is back on track again!!
Its very hard to resist the 'Right wrist' twist motion, but somehow i had to do it, as 'I am forced to do so'.

Guys, need help with tyres for my 2006 P180 DTSi. Its run around 28600+ kms till now on stock tyres. I need to change the rear tyres in two or three days, and front also in the coming weeks. I have posted the same querry in the tyres thread as well, but posting it here because its better to learn from other pulsar users.

        Stock- 100/90 17 Zapper C Rear. 90/90 17 Zapper FS front.

READ the forum, but all this has left me even more confused on which one will best suit me.

        Requirements-
        • Cornering grip is not a big priority, but i need good stability. Average speeds around 60+, and i like the occassional clean corners. But usually, more of a cruiser than a stunter.
        • Braking grip on sands/wet surfaces. (IMO stock Zapper-C does not grip under hard braking)

        Options-
Went to a few shops, and saw these-
        Rear-
        • MRF Zapper C TT/TL.
        • MRF Meteor 100/90 TT (Looked good and wide, and felt soft than my stocktzapper!). How is the performance of this tyre?
        • Dunlop Monster. (Felt almost like Meteor)
        • Michelin shop told they dont have anything in 17, only for 18!

        Front-
        • MRF Zapper FS 90/90 17

Which of these would suit my requirements? As of now, i am thinking between Dunlop Monster/ MRF Meteor. Any other brands i should consider? Since i dont know the city too much, it would be good if someone from Chennai can point out some good shops as well.
Guys, Anyone has tried R15 tyres on their P180 UG3?

How long would they last? What about the handling/ride? Any negative side for this?

40-45 is good for this machine when it put some 4 kgs extra from it's earlier version

(ot) Am just close to nanganallur,OMR about 15 kms away

Guys help me...Its very hard to find reserve point...
When I have very little amount of petrol above reserve and riding constantly at 60 bike starves for fuel sometimes...so I switch to reserve at that time but I have found that if I switch back to main fuel bike runs for another 20 - 30 kms happily

                  • A new smallish problem:
"My neutral gear indicator light is sometimes flashing, sometimes didnot gets ON when in neutral.", I know that either the neutral switch is faulty or there is a loose connection.
This started after my bike went to SC.

                        • Well guys, i went to a small town 40kms away from my city, the road was 4 lane and empty, i decided to check the "Valvoline synthetic" power. All the way through my journey of total 80kms i was cruising at 105kmph with pillion and covered 40kms in just 20minutes.

and adding to that, the bike was running strain free and it never sounded like running out of breath.

                          • Hey guys.. went yesterday to delhi offline meet, hope you have read it , trip was from Delhi to Gajraula.. thought to share some points with you.
                            1) Finally i touched 100kmph on 7000RPM being in group i didnt break the rule so rev for once only as was quite behind the group & road conditions demanded for it
                            2) Speed between 80-90 was crisp, but felt some vibs on foot gears, clucth / front brakes i dont know why but eventhough it was bareable
                            3) Total ride was not much for Xbhpians so was around 220-230 on an avg. but due to hectic traffic & plathora of path holes really sucked our *ss, but feeling butt very normal now lol
                            4) Must say guys, our bikes are amongst the best breed which bajaj guys have made , in terms of more refinement. Didn't faced any single issue, ride was smooth, suspension was really good, felt no harm.
                            5) Only one thing lacked was Mileage which i still not able to figure out, as i never reached to the situation where i have to shift the nob to Reserve position, as always running it on mains. whenever the bar line of fuel reach to 2-3 i top up the tank with 200 bucks, so unable to figure it out, but feel sometime that fuel consumption is more than 50 and even sometime have to re-think if it is less than 40
