Speed problem exists again..
Now the bike misfires as soon as you lower the rpm from 8,000...
Retardation force + misfire = drop in speed.
Is that the reason for not going above 8,000rpm??sigpic

I think the AFR is just too rich. Fuel is not burning properly and a large amount of not burnt fuel is escaping. Result, drop in both performance and millage.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostSpeed problem exists again..

Take a screw driver and turn the AFR screw by 2 turns everyday in the morning before going to the office. Keep doing it until you're satisfied.

yes, you can add up a cooling systems like its elder brothers.Originally posted by inferno View PostHi there,
Is there any oil cooling provision present for cooling the piston? What is the use of the metal tube that is present in P220 P200 and P150,P180 (UG4 versions).
On the right side near the brake lever. There is a closed loop where the liquid cool unit can be installed like the 200 or 220 pulsars.
But then expect no difference as its not going to add up towards cooling that much since the technology used in 200's or 220's is bit different.
Btw are you facing overheating problems??/
if thats the case then change the engine oil which you are using...
Which one do you use??sigpic

^^^ as far as i know it is for draining water that ll be accumulated near the petrol tank cap. but i dont think its working.
@eshan. dude im finding difficulties in overheating problems. and i think its because my bike is running too lean Pj. and the mileage is around 52kmpl.
1. Ported and polished cylinder head,
2. modified stock exhaust
3. Re-profiled camshaft
The bike is doing 128kmph

Since i am about to buy Yamaha R6 next year September. I am planning to modify My P150 UG3 to 220cc. without any change in the stroke length.
The compression ratio will be climbing from 9.5:1 to 11.8:1 since i am planning to use a high compression piston. I hav made a high duration camshaft with a different overlap. 260 deg @ .050" lift. Ported and polished cylinder head, Altered clutch bell and providing an oil cooler. and a separate provision for Piston cooling. Fuel injection and tci unit is in progress. ll be starting the work from Feb since i am upto some office works

Today I tested the battery voltage.
Battery standby: 12.53 V
Switched on: 12.22 V
With Pilots on: 12.08 V
With headlamp on: 11.93 V
Engine running at idle + headlamp: 12.68 V
After some time: 13.45 V
At 4k RPM: 14.73 V
I think battery is in good condition. It was never charged discretely. Also I always ride with pilots on, means no matter at what time of the day I ride, I use ~20W all the time.
Time for another DIY:
I'm putting these thing on the bike tomorrow.

2x 38SMD LED in place of pilots.
Philips premium 55/60W H4.
Also I'm buying a toggle switch tomorrow. (More on this later)

LED bulb in action. It's very bright. It puts an impression on your retina for 1 minute if you look at it even for 10 secs.
