Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Hey'i found a chinese H4 100/90W bulb and used it in my bike(Ultra blue colour) for bright light as the Default was useless on Highways.
now i want to ask wether its safe, as my headlight glass gets too hot after 10 mins of usage. and also i've not used any kind of relay etc ??/Last edited by Sahilq; 01-17-2014, 09:31 AM.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Why will you use a 100watt bulb when the stock current production is hardly 100 -120watt... Even if you do use this bulb it wont be of any use as it will not glow to its full brightness.. better to stick to a 55 watt pr better get hid with a glare cap

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
You are bound to have a battery that will not produce enough power at the end of the day. The battery might go kaput while you are riding. A 100W bulb will heat the dome very much and might damage the same. The best bet for replacment of stock bulb is using 55/60W bulb.Originally posted by Sahilq View PostHey'i found a chinese H4 100/90W bulb and used it in my bike(Ultra blue colour) for bright light as the Default was useless on Highways.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Go for any bulb that are 55/60W. I have been using a 55/60W bulb since quite sometime (without relay or any mods), the electricals of the bike are intact without any glitches.Originally posted by Sahilq View PostSo should I change the light to philips xtreme vision plus? It costs around 1000-1200bucks with relay.! And should I add relay? Or should I wait to have money for the projector it costs around 3500 bucks here.?
Btw thnx

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Ohk. But if I want to continue with these 100w Chinese for a few more days would it be fine. As I'm today installing 2 xtra oem horns of My r15 into fz. Should I add a relay to the lights or horn as my battery will suffer a lot with this experiment??Originally posted by devils_friend View PostGo for any bulb that are 55/60W. The stock battery would NOT be able to sustain such load.Originally posted by Sahilq View PostOhk. But if I want to continue with these 100w Chinese for a few more days would it be fine. Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
My FZ16 is giving starting problem, at morning and also after taking out from parking area to start after 9 hours. Pushed to start and after some running no starting issue is coming up. Next morning same issue. My bike completed 12900 km and 2 yrs 10 months old. Serviced just 10 days ago. What may be the problem? Battery required to change?

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Battery has given up. Do the servicing of battery like changing water, cleaning the poles. After that, charge it up for 8-10 hrs. See if the battery works fine or not. If not, time for you to change the battery.Originally posted by alto View PostMy FZ16 is giving starting problem, at morning and also after taking out from parking area to start after 9 hours. After changing battery water, how long it will work? Will it be a better option to change the battery to a maintenance free battery?Originally posted by devils_friend View PostBattery has given up.
