AFAIK, 28k km is too short for a timing chain, especially on a Yammy. I changed it 1L as precaution and a friend runs R15 with factory fitted chain clocking 1L+ km.

I paid 300 for decarb and 250 for valve setting at SVC in 2015. 1.7k seems higher.

that is RS.17,000(seventeen thousand), thanks bro I will check the Choke cable and update you

For 17k, you could get the whole engine rebuilt. If they quoted that much for decarb, then its the "baap" of all day light robberies. Decarb plus clutch plates plus piston rings plus oil and filters plus all sorts of labours burnt less than 3.5k for me and that too at the god-damn Yamaha ASC.

Check out indiaspares.in the prices of yamaha parts.
Decarburetion doesn't cost 17k! The mechanic is greedy, try a popular mechanic nearby or popular Yamaha ASC, and get an estimation.
Spark plug costs around 120/-, chain sprocket set 1500-1600/-, and air filter 220-240/-, labour charge max 200/-, totally 2100/- max approx. 5500/- is too much. Mechanic is a robber.

Nice. Do share your view on wet grip and their overall performance.
These sure look very similar to MRF tyres.
            And what about the cost?

            Ride safe and have fun.

                  I'm going to ask again.
Charger of my fzs blew up console and philips 60watt bulb due to over voltage. Is it my luck or it has to do with 60 watt bulb and horns?
And i've changed front sprocket 2 times since i've changed chain set at 18k km. It starts making tak tak sounds after every 500 km. And the sound is coming from front sprocket side. Is the problem with the shaft on which front sprocket is mounted?

I don't think a 60w bulb should cause any problem. I am using the same and never faced any problem. There maybe some other electrical fault in the circuit.

You should get the shaft checked. We can't know the problem without seeing it.

Also, why did you changed the front sprocket after changing the whole chain set?

Even i have the same tak tak sound at 32k kms. Had replaced my chain set with rolon but misplaced the front rolon sprocket... So used yamaha front sprocket.. & facing this problem now...

Yamaha also uses Rolon chain set. Atleast they used to when i had replaced the chain set a year back.

Also how did you misplaced the sprocket?

While changing the front sprocket my mechanic changed the front bolt & didn't tighten it properly. So next day when i was riding, i lost my sprocket at 80kph..thank fully it was near miss & bike was in control. Later on, I bought a new yamaha front sprocket assuming that it may be the same thing but the tak tak noise started... Mechanic is suggesting me to again replace the full set but its hardly 2k kms old. Riding in stop go traffic is really tiring because of this.

                            Thats bad bloody mechanic.

First, get the shaft checked. It might be damaged due to this.

Usually caused by faulty RR unit.

Actually svc head suggested it, he said it was around 100 rs, so trying it will not hurt you. And i changed it because when i had the chainset changed of the bike, it was making that noise since then. And yamaha's svc guys are so arrogant to admit it. They say "aap vahemi ho" but after 10k kms sound become more pronounced.
Sometimes i think it's waste of money going to svc.
When i complained it to yamaha's support center, they said yamaha chainset life is only 10k km.
And what is the problem with xbhp, when i press edit button my post gets deleted on mobile version.
