Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
I thought this hardness / unease is because the bike is new. It can happen sometime. Ask a friend of urs to ride it and let him tell you if he found anything out of the ordinary. Don't tell him that u have this issue or he'll focus on that. May be it's just in your mind. If no, visit the SC and ask them to take necessary action. Probably the accelerator cable or the throttle grip itself. It's not a big deal. Don't worry about it (I know how one will feel about their new bikes)Originally posted by vignesh0707 View Post

I saw a few bike but didn't looked nice. You might also want to change the headlight parts to go with it better. Why bother!Originally posted by Prashant Kumar View PostYes i need only for visual purpose.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
You can get all these at SVC. 2 side pieces and top piece. Costing 160 each. Visor, visor clamp and number plate clamp. Plus a couple of bolts.Originally posted by Prashant Kumar View PostThe side fairing of fz s headliggt is different than fz16 one.#RetiredRider

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
It is new bike brought before a week ? Can SVC guys do thatOriginally posted by Aakash Singh View PostIf it's too hard than it is time to change the cable. But there is a work around most of the svc guys do they take the steel cable out of outer covering and peel of the plastic of it. And throttle twist will become butter smooth again.

Thanks for suggestion.Originally posted by nadz11.ns View PostCongratulations on the booking.
Follow the manual for break-in and even after that. For per delivery inspection, check all the electrical parts, signs of rust and scratches. Nothing too serious.
I don't think any extra accessories are neend for this bike. Most people say its stock headlight is weak and get a 55/60w bulb. But that might affect the warranty.
Use normal fuel. There isn't anything special in premium fuel.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
For a new bike, it shouldn't be tight. Try some other vehicle at the service center and make sure yours is really tight or is it just your feel of it. Alternately, the SVC guys can fix it for you. BTW, you shouldn't lubricate these cables as the teflon/plastic wrap surrounding the steel cable takes care of the smooth movement. Also, lubricating these cables will accumulate dirt and will hinder free movement of the wire. I personally won't advice removal of the plastic/teflon wrap in a new bike.Originally posted by vignesh0707 View PostIt is new bike brought before a week ? Can SVC guys do that

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
When your cable becomes really tight go to svc the first thing they do is to tear that plastic on the steel cable. In my opinion plastic covering makes smoothness worse, because when i change to a new cable it works smooth only for a service, after that it becomes too hard and fatiguing. But after removing the plastic from the cable, it is good for another 15k kms.Originally posted by pdydeva View PostFor a new bike, it shouldn't be tight. Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Is valve decarbonizing necessary? My bikes average got down from 35-40 to 20-28 in just one month after service, i don't know what happened so fast. First i thought of adjusting afr but some posts earlier indicated that it can ruin the engine if it runs too hot. This time is used motul 300v 15w50 may be it is causing the problem but i don't think it will reduce the fuel efficiency by 10.Last edited by Aakash Singh; 10-18-2016, 09:04 PM.
