    Want to improve my FZ 16 performance

    Hi Guys

    I have FZ16, i installed Daytona and K&N freeflow air filter.

    Can u help to how can i increase my bike performance more.

    On highways it reaches at the top speed of 115km/hr.

    I stay in pune so kindly suggest me how can i get it fixed.

      For what i know, if im wrong please correct me, to get more performance on this little engines, you can try a free flow exhaust, less restrictive air filter, re jett/tune carbi or replace it with a bigger one and if you want better top speed, try changing the sprocket.

        So I'm facing something a bit odd with my digital console. I tried all those tips but the console is completely blank no matter what connections i check & clean. Randomly, i remove the battery while cleaning the terminals and push start the bike (no kick) and the console lights up like new. All systems work ok, albeit a bit of flickering with acceleration but all the lights on console & the information seems okay even after a short ride.
        Plug in the battery and the console is dead again, but everything else works like a charm. Horn & lights are powerful. Bike cramks well and starts on first go but no life in the digi console except the red engine light

        Tried removing the battery once again and console works fine at push start.

        Got the battery double checked but it's working good as per the battery guys & need no replacement. It's a 2 yr old exide maintenance free battery.

        Everyone is recommending a speedometer replacement. Am I missing something obvious like regulator/rectifier issue or similar ? Google isn't helping on ths at all. Any leads are highly appreciated

          Yamaha Fz-16 Black Smoke.

          Hi friends
          i am about to buy second hand bike.
          last day i have checked a fz bike.
          everything is fine except black smoke coming in silencer.
          i have kept bike in neutral and gave normal throttle but heavy black smoke is coming.
          kindly tell me whether its a engine problem or some other minor issue.
          if its a engine problem how much do i need to spend to make it as a good condition bike.

            My first bike, rode this bike gloriously from jan'09 till oct'15. but had to upgrade, so had to sell it off unfortunately.

                  fz16 issue

                  Guys i am facing issue with my headlight, my bike is not picking up self while headlight is on...if i turn off headlight self works....is it some cable shorting or weak battery ? bcoz my horn and headlight works strong enough...

                    See if you can have the battery voltage level , electrolyte level checked once?

                        Kindly visit a local mechanic or battery store. You can check the voltage levels first. They will confirm the health of the battery

                                The third chain set for my motorcycle.

                                The first one which came with the bike was good but was making noise from some areas. The second one was procured from outside Yamaha and gave up on length and wasn't getting tightened any longer. This is the third one.

                                Motorcycle odo stands at around 22K (2011 March Manufactured)

                                INR 1500 (authorized SVC) + 200 fitting (outside yamaha)
