Actually what you did is test the vehicle against the oil company's claims, which not many have the guts to do. IIRC Gulf Pride 4T plus also claims a life of 10,000 kms.

Really? Where did you get this information?
What does Honda use in their coolant ?
I thought glycol based (ethylene and propylene) were the most common and widely used coolant chemistries. The other stuff in the coolant such as nitrates, amines, phosphates etc.. (one or a combination of them might have been recommended to be avoided)

Good that you are sticking to the Honda coolant.

Sorry, the post should read Honda says no to non ethylene glycol coolant.

Guys do we post pics from our rides here itself? There's another thread for pics but it does not seem active much.

As long as there is a CBR in it, we can post summarised version of trips and pictures. Requesting Divya Sharan for clarification.

There's no hard and fast rule brother! This is the ownership thread and therefore you can post anything with a CBR250R here.

makes sense. so stick to the honda provided coolant or something like the motul motocool expert.
you could search and get hold of the datasheet of some of the coolants.
the non-ethylene glycol (or just water) may or may not be good for the internals (corrosion, heat transfer, freeze protection etc..), so stick to manufacturer recommendations.. unless you want to experiment at your own risk. In an emergency you could use just clean water and it should be fine for a short duration.
Remember that manufacturer's recommend what they have tested and works in a wide range of situations and easy for everyone to get hold of (and probably makes them some money )

So last night went in finding Coolant for CBR250R, Friend got Engine Ice, brought it home, but another friend said he has stock coolant at home, so took that also.

Yesterday the Temp went till highest which proved coolant was low. So today morning filled the stock coolant and it drank almost all of the bottle. Today the whole ride to office the bar was normal at three. Phhewww, time to change the coolant soon. Till the time its been saved

That means the bike was running low on coolant when you bought it? Are there any leaks?

Why insist on changing to Engine Ice so soon?
Frankly I doubt if EI even works, but you can save that for the months April - June in Delhi heat, right?
