I need some help. I lately have come across tic tic kind of noise from the engine area. Starts when the engine is hot and its there in idealing till 5k rpm. What could be the reason? ASC guy said some valve bedding and stuff and assured me that it will go away. I am not satisfied by his answer.

Second part is the vibration. I feel that there is excess vibration during cruising and sometimes my hand starts feeling numb after riding for say 100kms at a stretch. First I suspected some problem with my glove, but any glove I have the same problem. Need some advice on this.

My bike is 3 months and 8k kms old.

    1. The tic-tic sound is from the shims, the valve clearance is to be adjusted using the right size of shims, in the next service make sure you get that done and the problem will go away, provided the right size shims are used.

2.It could either be a problem with the tyre or the forks, is both handlebars vibrating or only one side ? Get the alignment checked from the svc. Hands going numb can be even due to incorrect riding posture, relax the arms a little and you will feel a difference for sure.

Even I suspect shims. Is there a problem riding with this noise for the next 3k kms?

The bike tracks straight with both hands off the handle. Right hand is the one that has this problem. May be the posture, will try to change and see how it goes.

Did the bike fall on the right hand side?
You took a fall in Jayamangali reserve on the right or left? Maybe the end weights took some brunt and might be slightly bent.

Not much of a problem for 1-2k kms, but if the tappet sound increases and is quite audible even in idling, then i'd say you take it to the svc immediately, if the sound is just after a long ride and the engine is hot, then you have some more time to ride it as it is.

And about the right hand side, even I have that problem, it must be the problem of the tyre, do one more thing, take the bike to 70-75 and leave both handle, the bike should be going in straight line, but you might find the handle to be wobbling at the same time(without the bike changing course) and do the same below 60 and you will find the handle steady as a rock. Do please check this and revert back with the findings.

finally a tinted visor.. not for 5k though...

seems to be legit.. but more than twice the price of OEM.

yes. i was misinformed about the OEM tinted visor and when i checked again they said some guy gave wrong info.
also as far as any tinted visor were available nutin was lesser than 5k (import) .
OEM ones which i tried getting tinted did not work. the film would never stay on the curved surface.

this ones seems legit.. however not sure how much of tralucent this one is.
also the visor seems to be like Double bubble screen. OEM ones dosent have that kinda hump.
will check with the seller. i havent ordered yet. as of now i am running with DIY 3M CF opaque decal..

Haha.. yes, indeed, I did go to a few Honda Showrooms asking about he OEM tinted visor and sure enough they were all just puzzled.

Well, I have also send a message to the sellers, they seem to be there in Facebook too, so I have put up a message in their facebook page, waiting for a response.
Yes, it seems to be a double bubble, will surely help a bit more in the wind resistance part, looking forward to getting one soon.

Would it be possible to smoke the OEM windscreen ?

smoking it via the paint thats used for car's headlamps etc can be done but it will run down to be expensive
else look for imported Vinyl which can be heated and used on curved surface.. IMHO its too much of hassle for cosmetic upgrade.
had it been a functional/performance upgrade a serious through would be recommended.

I would prefer the route 1 just for the amount of twisties and the scenery associated with it. The roads are in pretty decent shape from ujire to all the way to Bangalore

Exactly... I took route 1 last year in October. It was really fun...
especially climbing up the ghats.. awesome view.. But it takes more time than route 2.
This time wanted to start late.. so was wondering if the Shiradi ghat roads were repaired.
