    Hello,

How much kilometers per liter are you guys getting, I know it is a common question, but I am slightly surprised that my bike is giving 36 in Bangalore traffic and 41.2 in highways. I am pleased for this mileage for a bike of this class.

    Any opinions?

    Manan.

      .
      Manan,
That is another top mileage figure . I am getting avg of 30kmpl +-10% for most fills. At what RPMs do you shift?.

Bought CBR 250R ABS from Honda showrooms, there are not offering any accessories, not even a Helmet. I believe this is normal for the purchasing from Showrooms. But anything that I should ask which I'm missing

I shift around 3.5 or 4 in traffic, never going above the third gear.
For Highways if I am not ripping, around 5.5 to 6, if ripping I wait till the needle hits the redline.

Also is it the Karishma ZMR I need to look at? I'd rather settle for a used CBR instead.

Check out the ZMA-R...it should be a great upgrade for your unicorn ways of riding and comfort. It performs as good as ZMR (yet cheaper) and is better in traffic than CBR! An 'almost new' used one should cost about Rs70K... I ve been my new CBR in traffic...it is such a chore! I was admiring a few ZMAs that zipped by....

I just opted for standard accessories which include number plates and sari guard. I didn't go for any extra accessories. But they didn't give me a sari guard also stating its out of stock and they said they will fix it on Saturday.
I couldn't expect much as I paid the cash amount at 12.30pm and got the bike at 6pm.

This being my 1st post in this thread, while I decided to get some upgrade for my current P220.

Although I have ridden the CBR, it was very less kms, both within B2B traffic and hills. Am pretty comfortable overall but U turns would get my wrists locked.
I just have few things hovering in my mind-
Ride Quality compared to P220; for I couldn't get to ride it that much.
Lighting- for night riding on highways, at par with the projector- ellipsoidal setup of P220?
Wheel rim strength- Is it prone to rim bend pretty easily? R15 and FZ/Fazer seem to get their rim bent in situations where I take my 220 easily in equal or higher speed.

Anyways, going to the showroom tomorrow. Also any pic of the white model available, apart from google?

                        Hello

Ride quality is comparable to p220 but you can expect the bike to be slightly heavy and less flick able.

Lighting at stock is good, but not narrow and strong as p220, expect a wider angle of light with slight less power, that said you can always change the bulb.

Wheel rim, you need to CHECK THE AIR PRESSURE ONCE A WEEK filling air is free so I guess it would not be a problem, I took my bike over some rough pot holes and they were unaffected.

                        Cheers

I own both the bikes so maybe i could take a shot at these questions.
Ride Quality: CBR has a stiffer suspension so high speed ride quality is better. At lower speeds though, i find it very choppy compared to the 220.
Lighting: 220 still rules. However, CBR is pretty adequate.
Wheel Rim Strength: I have heard of few CBRs getting bent rims on the Ladakh circuit. A fellow concerned CBR owner even gave me the contact number of the only mech who could set it straight - near Khardung La .220 over my 50k plus touring km never had a problem. Though the sample size is only 1.

Can you please tell me how to remove it? so I can reduce weight and get rid of the unappealing guard?

The only problem am facing with my P220 is heavy oil leak from nearly everywhere! Head, Block, Breather pipe, air filter, crankcase... Its just close to 30k kms in 2 years.
And the major problem in disposing it off is its place of registration (KA) and current location (AS), without NOC/re-registration!
