Nice man, I am only able to reach ~133(Solo only) on full throttle even on Highway.....

I have sent a complaint to Honda regarding engine and gear shifting problem.

Almost 1000 kms on the odo now! Giving it for first service tomorrow.
When I reached here, found that one of the nuts from the mirror stem is missing. And because of its movement, it has made scratches on the nearby area!! The paint have gone slightly!!!

Now i keep an allen key (size 4) in my toolkit and inspect the mirror nuts before every long ride.. Highly suggested to everyone.. (costs around rs.10-15 for a good make but would save a lot trouble..)
Guys, I too was & am facing a few problems with the bike, Here are two resolved small problems

        1. The screws from the RVMs started to come off on the third day of owning and also led to scratching the paint, later Honda dealer fixed the paint with a touch up for free and also provided free screws.

        FIX:
Here's an awesome fix for it I found from my dad, The screws tend to loosen up in just 150 kms of ride. I used a P.T.F.E. Thread sealant Tape over the groves of the screws and they never tend to loosen up now not even .1mm. Note: I rolled it twice in diameter over the groves of the screws for extra grip.

You can buy this Thread sealant Tape from any Sanitary Hardware Store, it is used in taps, etc and costs around Rs. 30 I will post an image soon. Guys try this out and let me know your feedback.

        UPDATE: Image added

Also, it can be used in all other small screws used in fairing & cockpit area of the CBR, only do this if any screw is loose otherwise it is not necessary and only recommended for the screws holding the RVMs.

        2. The second problem was a rattling sound from the front of the CBR, it seemed to be coming from the radiator or right side of the engine, it also seemed to increase with the increase in RPM till 6000-6500 RPM after that was not audible as the cool engine sound was more audible that this rattling sound.

        FIX:
I knew some screws were loose but could not find them as all seemed fin in the faring area after a few days I found it, turns out it was the two small screws holding the front white number plate, I tightened them without any sealant tape and now I face no such rattling sound. Other owners facing any similar issue should definitely try this, it might work.

        • Number plate on the CBR which is supplied by the manufacturer is HUGE!! Spoils the entire look of the bike both from front and rear. So came up with a solution to this. Made a plate in which screws arent visible .

Dad insisted in keeping the front number plate so respecting his words, I kept it.

I got the number plates done which are proportionate with the bike's front and the rear mud guard's curves.

Took a base plate (regular fiber plate on which number plates are made) and bolted (use flat head screws for better results) it to the mud guard/front number plate holder.

Now I used the actual number plates which are cut in the same shape and pasted them to the base plates using 3M dual sided tape. Problem solved

P.S : Use 3M tape as it creates a better bond compared to other tapes.

Pictures dont look that good cause they are clicked in a closed area with no light. Will click better pictures in day light.

            • Have tried to max out the bike, but places to do so are very limited, speaking in the case of Bangalore. And to add to the challenge, the crosswinds make the job even more difficult. Have reached as far as 158, should be able to crack the 100mph barrier.

Just wonder any mechanic would do to remove those screws or need to take her to ASC for this ( just asking to ensure that there are no wire's fitted under the sear )

Ensure the mirror screws ( total of 6) are tightly screwed. ( LOL!)

Dont forget to change your engine oil at around 250km.
