you guys never learn do you.

BTW aditya, a little correction in your sentence, "never ride without riding gears and never lend anyone yours if you riding/if you dont have spare ones". you cant be lucky always and you wont be able to be sorry if you get unlucky.

Situation: I keep getting those irritating “Parking Scratches” on my bike. Not even once I met with an accident but still those small irritating scratches are there…right there… staring at my face.... and the worst part is that they keep increasing every freaking day.. either from my building or from the office parking.

Help With-> I have been looking for options to remove/ hide those small scratches and prevent the bike from future ones. I have already been told by many friends that Teflon coat is a hoax and so I am not keeping it as my option. So can you guys please suggest something else? And yeah what about 3M protection on the bike?? What’s the cost involved?? And can I get it done in Bangalore. If yes, then where to go and whom to contact for the same?

Also, my bike’s mileage has come down to 32-34 range (from 38-40) since the second service. Apart from adjusting the clutch play( Now the clutch is a bit tight tough but I have been told by the SVC that the play is set to the best possible setting) and changing oil and oil filter, the mechanic didn’t touch anything else. What could be the reason?? Any pointers? FYI, I use reserve to reserve method to calculate the mileage.
hmm first 2500KMs good.
straight to the point #1 : Aint no use. Let it get scratched. park your bike at the utmost corner or near a pillar in the parking bay where you'll be sure atleast one side of the bike wont get scratched by ignorant educated professional people :P Ideally you'll have to figure it out
#2 efficiency : its just 2500Kms right, clean the air filter, its clogged IMO. Clutch play not to tight > might snap the cable, happened with me. Change the petrol bunk from where you fill it up. quality isue is the biggest hole.
In the end ride in the highest possible gear for the your speed without loading your engine. Let the engine settle down. First 100 kms i got 52kmpl tank full method consistently then it settled to around 47-50 kmpl.
Right? dont worry about the FE and stuff, enjoy your ride!! consider the analogy -- none of us liked when our peers asked us to study harder everytime we scored low in exams correct ? Same is the case
Keep Calm and Kaam se Kaam

To all those how-to-run-in-the-bike-oh-it's-so-confusing. Here's an advice.
Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

problem with black is that tiny scratches are also very much visible. remember i had told this to u when i met u?

Yeah Bro. In office putting bike cover would be too extreme. But i do that without fail in my building. Still those scratches keep increasing. Especially, around tank region and tail section. So i thought to do something about it coz the measures i am taking is not proving to be good enough . So what to do about these scratches now is a big question in my mind.

could you post pics of the regions where you are seeing the scratches? there are few obvious places where scratches are gonna be there.

oh i see that time i just emphasized on the utter importance of riding gear if you plan to do cornering and all that in particular. of course, riding gear always even if riding at 20kmph. but i was just emphasizing more on not doing particularly adventurous things if there's no gear on you.

so finally, time for some high res pics of my 6 days/363kms old MotoGP edition racing blue (pics are from yesterday so it was 5 days old then).

turns out most of my files that i wanted to upload here are too big to upload (the size limit is about 2-2.5 MB it seems which is really low), so uploading only files of that size and for more pics which contains some killer shots imo you can view this public album in my facebook - http://www.facebook.com/aditya.b.999/media_set?set=a.493711370713283.1073741825.1000022 32734342&type=1

bragging my HJC and Alpinestars , but haven't yet got my protective riding pants (joe rocket) and boots (orazo for now, axo primato ii later if i ever get to go to the tracks (praying that the california superbike school starts getting held at BIC, noida soon)).

Dude if the grip is more your bike will loose the acceleration n top speed..seniors please correct me of I am wrong

Nope. Wrong. There you go... you have been corrected ... on a more serious note, what you are taking about is rolling resistance and not 'grip' which incidentally is 'traction'. Two different things.

yep, smx-2 air carbon. got it from orion motors yamaha at bangalore at Rs 4350. i assume you got it at the same price ? planetdsg is the only alpinestars' direct dealer as far as i know in india (all other stores in india that have alpinestars get it from planetdsg) and their website also lists 4350. the jacket is also from orion. the HJC CL-16 voltage MC1 helmet is from let's gear up in bangalore.

anyone ever used Muc-Off products to clean, shine, de-grease, lube, etc your bikes? if yes, please say whether it's good shit or not.. for the chain clean and lube, i am thinking motul or tribocor, but for de-greasing, cleaning and shining i am still searching and trying to find reviews and make my mind about what brands' products i should buy.

specifically asking about Muc-Off because, for someone who lives in a city like allahabad where there's obviously no proper or credible store for getting these things from (or if there is one, i don't know where. tired of trying to find one or of asking people if they know of such a place which they dont because typically no one cares about their vehicles enough around here), all its products are easily available online at one place (let's gear up), so if i hear Muc-Off is good stuff i can easily order some of its products instead of going here and there for getting a single thing. couldn't find anything from xbhp search engine regarding muc-off, so asking it here. thanks.

I bought them from Chopra Automobiles(Delhi). First he asked 4100 then at the end he gave them for 3700. Maybe because me and my friends are his regular customers.
