    I will roger that.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

But the question is, can you carry the cover to your office everyday? Try to find some shade. Also which color of R15 you have. If it's a light one then it may be of some help as fading in light colors is not so much apparent. But anyways I would recommend 3M coating film. It can be of some help to yor problem.

I'm searching for a light enough cover. I've heard about covers made up of parachute material. Very light weight and compact enough to fit in a back pack.
The color of bike is white-blue.
I've never heard of 3M coating film. Please share some more info.
Right now I have done 2 coats of teflon and the third one is due in a couple of weeks, on the second service.

OK. So normally you'll not see much of a faded colour as the coloured portion of this bike which comes directly under the sun is mostly white.

Teflon doesn't play much role on color shade. Teflon is just another kind of polishing. Get some good cover and do a periodic wash and polish of your ride to maintain the shine.

Teflon coating is the result of just a marketing gimmick. It doesnt oes anything good. For sometime there will be shine and after that waste of Money

                  Hi Friends,

Could you help me with the below queries.

                  1) Engine oil capacity for R15 V2 and the grade (ex: 10W30)
                  2) Planning to use Castrol Power 1. Is this Fine. ?
Bike will run less than 20 kms a week.
                  3) What is the cost of paddock Stand (or any alternative DIY).
                  4) I am cleaning the chain with kerosene and lubing with used engine oil (used less than 1000 km). Is this OK ?

There is a hissing sound coming from the bike. Not sure from where.

I also require a manual in English. Searched Google but no luck with proper links.

                    1. 900ml if I'm not wrong. Grades recommended are 20W40 & 20W50
                    2. No idea about castrol. I use Motul 300v. Brands like shell and Yamalube too are good.
                    3. Lies somewhere inbetween 5000-5500
Source - Bachoo Motors, Mumbai. Has a link on web. Google search!
                    4. Cleaning agent is fine but I use diesel as I don't find kerosene easily here in J.P.Nagar,Bangalore.
Get a chain spray! Why do you reuse engine oil for this?! Lubing the chain is equally important and also plays a role in delivering better mileage
I use Tribo.. now and have use Rolon, release-on, yamalube and motul. Yamalube very thin and does no good. Rest are al good except that Rolon and Release-on are decent priced ~400 bucks while Motul is little more expensive!
The one I'm using currently is too good and thick!!

Hissing sound you are speaking of is brake pad sound I guess and in which case it is normal and have a check while you get your bike serviced everytime.
Manual can be found in a ASC.

finished another visit to wayanad monsoon ride!!!! amazing ride as always. 665kms total.

during the ride learnt very basic and important stuffs, things that i knew but didnt do them when i had to and few that i did and proved good.

                              1. chain lubing. (didnt do before leaving)
before the ride i had ridden about 900kms after the service. so chain had lost lub and rains made it worse. i couldnt get time to get it lubed at service center and i didnt have lub either. so i continued the ride. 100kms into the ride i started to realize that i was getting bad feedback's from clutch plates and sprockets near the footpeg in lower rpms and also my top end and pickup dropped. people were wondering why i was riding slow . we stopped after bandipur and the matter was worse now. suraj told my sprockets are screwed may be (21.9K kms on odo). our own "know how and know all" rayhan took the bike for a spin seeing how sad i was. he goes to petrol bunk n buys a 2t oil and puts it on the chain asks me to take it for a spin and there it was. loss of lub was causing so much problems. thank god it was solved before the fun started (i mean crazy curves after gudlur). faced no issues after that and enjoyed every bit of road

                              2. avoid going on the white patch which is used for road dividing. we usually would have faced bike slipping when we go on it. but highly dangerous when road is wet and especially when its a curve. also the reflectors on the that patch are very dangerous.

                              3. clear visor for the helmet. (got it before the ride)
my previous clear visor had scratches. i knew it would be difficult in rains and night. so got a new one. helped a lot. it was like there was no visor, so clear view.

                              4. ride the bike in 6th gear at 7k rpm for good FE and also speed will be around 100kmph for cruising. yet to calculate mine waiting for the bike to hit reserve.
'On the Road that never ends...'

                                Here are the answers:

                                1. Ivin already answered.
                                2. I would say use that oil which you feel your bike is responding well. BTW, IYM recommends SS oil but based on various experiences shared here, MOTUL 7100 is a good FS oil for R15 and MOTUL 5100 as SS oil.

Try to use the same grade of oil as mentioned in the manual.
                                3. Why not you're going for a main stand? It will cost you around 800-900 bucks.
                                4. I recently went through an article about chain cleaning and lubing. There it said that try to avoid diesel/kerosene to clean chains as much as possible. As diesel/kerosene/petrol or any other form of fossil fuel is corrosive in nature. Try to clean the chain with water and then lube it. For lubing I'm now using Yamalube chain lube. It costs around 1420 INR but it lasts much better than Motul, which I was using earlier. One lubing has a lifetime of min. 800-1000 kms as it's a dry type lube.

Hissing sound can come for various reasons. Please be a more specific about it, where you suspect it is coming from, what RPM range/speed you're noticing it etc.
