[MENTION=22562]vjay[/MENTION]. Bro that is a sweet set of tyres. Metzelers do cost a bomb and I myself want a better cheaper alternative. Maybe I'll give these a try. I am not into crazy cornering anyway so I think these'll be good for me.

They are a bit expensive than the stock tyres... but worth every extra penny...
even after 8k kms they are looking good...[emoji106]

Re: KTM 200 Duke
You don't have to change your tyres now. The stock tyres are not bad at all. Build up your confidence and learn efficient braking techniques. The Michelin PSR is a better alternative. But let the stock tyres do their job for at least the next 10k kms 😜. Go for the PSR when you need a new set.

How is the feedback on cornering, buddy? And how much did it cost you?Originally posted by vjay View Postya bro... just close your eyes go for it...

Cornering in one word is exceptional...Originally posted by Arvind95 View PostHow is the feedback on cornering, buddy? And how much did it cost you?
much much better than the stock MRFs on any surface...
Infact after putting the Michelins i am enjoying the cornering & handling as much as the crazy acceleration of Duke...
A big Thumbs Up from my side...[emoji106] [emoji106] [emoji4]
Price 10 months back :

Re: KTM 200 Duke
If you keep your body stiff, then it will result in discomfort. And yes, the riding posture you have mentioned above could cause some discomfort.. maybe if you relax and do this more often you could get 'used' to it with less discomfort. Again it comes down to your height, weight, fitness etc.. and the duke is in itself not a very crouch friendly bike.. its more of an upright riding street machine.Originally posted by wallpapers123 View PostA bit different topic,
In crouching position, my back hurt a lot after just 2-3 minutes at constant speeds of 120 ish on the highway..Is it just me or the bike's high raised handlebar..(I rest completely on the tank with helmet almost touching the handlebar.)

Since the profile is downsized to 140/70 the contact patch is increased which might affect the handling and FE also the rear PSR looks much flatter (like the ones on FZs as opposed to the rounder revz on stock Duke) which I feel may not help in leaning into corners as quick as the revz and restrain the bike from taking more lean angles.
I think the difference will be evident at slower speeds, where the bike with round profile would turn much more readily.
I may be wrong, folks with knowledge please shed some light.
Mine is 12.8K kms old and may need replacement in another 2K kms.
cheers,
Srvn

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Svrn,
you are mistaken, the PSR is a rounded profile tyre unlike the FZ revz stock tyre u have mentioned... the tyre looks flatter in the pic I've posted...
But, the final call is upto you... but i am sure u'll never regret buying this tyre...
This pic should clear your doubt...

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Yea I feel the same, one more thing, are clip-on handle bars more comfortable than the straight ones on the Duke when in crouching position, because I have never ridden any bike with clip-ons before in that position.Originally posted by s1d View PostIf you keep your body stiff, then it will result in discomfort. I wouldn't play around with clip ons on the duke. Maybe someone who has done such a mod could throw more light on it.Originally posted by wallpapers123 View PostYea I feel the same, one more thing, are clip-on handle bars more comfortable than the straight ones on the Duke when in crouching position, because I have never ridden any bike with clip-ons before in that position.

The duke has amazing control feedback from its present wide handlebars and that would be lost using clip-ons. The bike would also have to be lowered in the front for better ergonomics and feedback just like the RC series bikes. Don't mod the bike, instead just sell it and get an Rc. The OE bars will feel much more comfortable than aftermarket mods on the duke.

The D200 is not going anywhere. Planning to keep it forever.Originally posted by Balgi View PostThe duke has amazing control feedback from its present wide handlebars and that would be lost using clip-ons. My only doubt was am I in the incorrect position or was it the straight handlebar that was causing the back pain.
Damn it my iPhone sent it again.!!!
