      Hi friends,

My quest for a good chain lube for my NS has brought me some happy results. My research over the web lead me to TriboCor Technologies Private Limited belonging to TriboCor Technologies Pvt Ltd. located in Mysore. They have a huge list of products including a few for motorcycles.

Lubes - TC 40 and TC 205. After weighing my options I decided to go for TC 205. I assume that TC 40 is standard chain lube like Release-On and Motul, I am not certain of this. Their website shows: TC 205 'Adhesive chain lubricant based on solid lubricants & latest innovation in chain lubrication technology, combining excellent anti wear protection for long life of chain and sprocket of motorcycles'. By solid, do they mean grease or some other chemicals?

I have used Release-On, Motul Chain Lube Road and Cyclo. All of these do not last beyond a 100 kilometres.

I bought the TC 205 lube from ebay.in. Works like a charm. Its black in colour, very foamy and thicker than Motul, hence, takes 15 - 20 minutes to settle once applied to the chain. My first ride of approximately 150 kms with it was too good. I felt the chain and sprockets to be smooth. It sounded like a brand new chain. It has also helped in reducing the shuddering that I experience upon sudden acceleration (mentioned in a previous post).

But I do not find the adhesive properties so great. During high speed runs, the lube gets thrown off because of the centrifugal forces.

Hope the TC 205 will prove good over long term use.

Cost - Rs 440 for 300gm/500ml spray can + Rs 18 for courier charges.

        Hi,
I want my rear monoshocks to get replaced under warranty.
Actually the suspension has got very soft and i cant feel the ride quality as it was earlier.
I tried adjusting the shocks but still no change.
I showed it to svc they told that they r all good and are not softer.
How should i claim for replacement under warranty?

Finally, something other than Euroslips as stock fitment.
Did you get to know what specific models these are? Like Zapper Y, FX etc.

The tyres were the only considerable con of the NS.With this update, the NS is a hassle free and a complete motorcycle.

This is a good move by Bajaj but y so silent? They should have made a small announcement or something. :P

As far as I know, by default, the suspension is set to softest setting. That's what my service center mechanic told me when I complained about the same issue. In the beginning you'll feel it is very hard but I guess eventually every owner gets used to it. Or may be consider getting a softer cushion for the seat if your height permits.

After a long time i am posting on this thread. My bike completed 26000km on september 5 2014. couldn't ride for few months last year due to an accident. and now to refresh the bike I changed the theme from the stock yellow colour. I airbrushed it myself and also installed bixenon HID projector with 55w ballast. now the night rides have become more enjoyable.

The only thing I regret with the bike is the bad/worst service. the mechanic is an a***hole. thanks to the modification I took on, I learned a few things to do by myself, like removing the wheels removing all the panels, how to access the air filter and also have reduced the rattling noises to almost nil(except for the rear seat lock noise when the compartment is empty)

                                Thanks a ton for replying!

I was done with my internals today so had a lot free time. Decided to go the nearest Bajaj dealer myself and check out the latest stuff! Got a lot of interesting news:

                                1) The OTR price right now is about 1-1.05 Lakh . Much lesser than what my friend got it for a few months back(1.15 L) so that's good.

                                2) New tyres were introduced very recently. Mrf Nylogrips (Zapper FY for front and S for rear). No price change. One can opt for Eurogrips too if needed. So for a prospective buyer that should save some 5-8k if he had planned to switch the tyres.

                                3) Just casually asked which type of engine it is. He told its a carb engine and not FI.He told even 220 is carb so that's y the company stuck to Carb on this. Further he added when the SS is launched then maybe the engine might get an FI update.

4)Since he himself brought the topic, asked him about SS. He told it might be launched around Dec-Jan and not Diwali. He had no idea about price, specs etc. Also not sure if he was taking about 200SS or 400SS. I think it is a pretty reliable source although lots of sites online are speculating a Diwali launch. Did not ask about 150/160 NS. Forgot :P

Contrary to my opinion the 10-15 mins I was there, the service was pretty good and he seemed to know the necessary knowledge about the bikes.
