  • Hey guys,
I have an offer for a TVS Feiro for 23k..I always wanted to own one..
Can some tell me the difference between the original
Suzuki feiro and TVS feiro??(excluding TVS F2 and Fx)
Is it just the name?or any changes in the engine?

Yeah better to get Pulsar's as it has up to 12k & get done a housing from Satish, lets scout around & see what is the best option Bro..

Which model ? How many Kms done ?

Their is no difference what so ever except the badge between suzuki & tvs fiero ( excluding F2 & Fx), In bangalore suzuki fiero is trading upwards of 25k for the brand name of suzuki & TVS would serve good around 20k but then all depends upon the condition of vehicle & the Miles it has munched

      • @gixxer_junkie_m: Plastic welding is the right thing to do! If you find the crack increasing, take the panel to a painter, ask him to put some putty on&paint. This is what I've done for the cracks in my mudguard.

@abhilashabhi12: Good the lever solved the braking issue! All the best for the tacho experiment!

@NANOtechnology: The bike seems to be drinking oil by the state of the plug. I read about your R15 plan in the PM. If you are planning to retain the Fiero, I would suggest a stock bore kit. No tensions.

@All: Thanks to Abhi&Anand, I got the fork inner tubes, springs&have replaced them alongwith the oil seals&of course oil. Suspension is finally working like it should. Will also adjust the cone/stem.
After replacing wheel bearings&throughing the rims, the bike feels planted.
Coming up next is general service for the clutch&cam parts.
        Quench my thirst with gasoline!

If it's in decent condition ,then you can consider it and the thing is you can always bring it back to peak condition with RTR bore-kit/spares.Since you're from bangalore as well ,you can get the best opinion on it from Mr Murthy of ZEN Shakti TVS at Rajarajeshwari nagar.

                • On monday i got the oil changed and the hydraulic hose fitted to the oil-cooler.I must say, the oil,Motul 3000 4T plus 20W40 is really good and worth every rupee spent on it.The other good news is that there hasn't been any leaks from the hoses till now and with the 255 psi/18 bar rated hydraulic hose it just got safer i think. The installation of the hose was not easy as it's very tough and strong. So in comparison to the fuel line used till now,the difference in strength was obvious. The oil capacity has gone up to 1.2 liters with the addition of the oil cooler and that in itself is worth the effort.

Awesome pick-up..am enjoying my new ride..
Elder brother(Fiero) joins the younger one(GS150R) now..

                          A minor problem:
Whenever i try to accelerate and decelerate, engine is misfiring.I mean the silencer makes a sound..
                          What might be the problem?

My current tyres are slightly bald.So want to change asap.
Which is the best tyre(rear) for Fiero and best engine oil?
I have been using Motul 30004t plus for my GS150R..Found it to be very good..

That would be great! riding from here to there. But you'd have to be prepared to take abhi's rants about even small things.

Congratulations and do try and take some more pics of your bike. It's an awesome bike and you'll know about it as you get to know her more here.
About the oil,you can stick to motul,it's a damn good oil for the price,or you can go for gulf pride too and do get the oil filter changed while you're at it.
About the misfires,i think your carb needs tuning and if you could get it done with a co machine it would be even better.

Spares are available and if you mean't the oil-filter RTR one's the same too.Regarding the speedo cable,i don't know about it's availability in showrooms but you can surely get it at JC road. For any major parts regarding the engine, electrical etc,RTR ones will do just fine. With the RTR bore-kit your bike will become a 180cc one and since you're in bangalore modifying the bike is old-hat.Super-chargers have been fitted to fiero,if you can imagine that,it's a damn over-engineered bike and she'll take all kinda modifications in her stride.

Take a cursory glance at it and do check the links on that page.I've met Mr Venugopal in person and it's not some fly-by-night modification job.Just giving you an example of what she's capable of. RTR spares are always there.
