The mech was surprised that the engine hadn't seized up or crank bearings blown by running with such a low oil level. That's how good 300V is! I haven't used MOTUL mineral oil but my friends apache was on it and it was way better than any other mineral oil.Currently my bike's on YAMALUBE 15W50 SS,which is supposed to be MOTUL 5100 SS oil and it performs very well in lower revs as well as in higher revs. Were as the Shell and other mineral oils become thin at higher revs.
You bet, 300V is bets oil money can buy in India, I will use the Shell advance then.

The F2 has a longer swing arm so it will have more links. You might have to take off a link or two i think.
I know, I feel fiero has lot of Initial pull & I want some of it transfer & make it cruise easy @ higher speeds, as earlier you had mentioned I do not want to sacrifice more on Initial & thus I found out that F2's 14/40t will be perfect combination to try.

So you mean to say that if we remove one or two links rest all is a direct fit to Fiero'?

I am already on a little taller gear, using 100/90-18 tyres @ rear

Yeah ,they fit and if you make sure to keep the bike in right revs then there won't be any problems either. What putting a 14 teeth or 15 teeth on a stock fiero will do is ,the bike will feel like it has lost the first gear. That is it will feel like the gear box has 2,3,4 and a 5th gear. The fiero has a taller internal ratio ,so this will make the 4th feel like a 5th gear or in the case of a 15teeth gb sprocket ,the 4th will feel like a 6th gear.

Thanks, that explanation is just awesome.

I will try the f2 set up first & then change over to 14th @ front if required in the later stage

Do one thing, buy the 14 and 15 teeth gb sprockets. They are cheap, try them out and if you are happy then you can keep either of the two with the 39 rear one.

My experience with a stock fiero was ,the 14 teeth makes it awesome. Then if you plan on high speed runs on highways the 15 teeth one will make you keep up with any higher capacity bike on indian roads with your stock fiero!!

Thanks, 15t will make it too taller geared + I will be on higher profile tyre, so I better will stick to 14/40t of F2 set up, then if I don''t like it I will come back to 13t from stock fiero of front.

My Highway riding is not much, but yes once in two or three months I plan to get out on Highways to enjoy cool breeze & seeing new places

In my experience,15 teeth is made for fiero.I had used 14 teeth one for just a few kms ,when i thought how good the 15 might be ,if 14 teeth makes such a difference. In fact my bike has had the 15 teeth gb for nearly 80% of the time till now.To put it simply, the 15teeth makes the bike feel like an electric bike when ridden on highways. As i said try riding with a 15 teeth one on highways and you will fall in love with it.You can cruise at 100+ speeds all day long ,it's that good!
Now that my bike has a bigger heart i am seriously thinking of switching back to the 15 teeth one, because now 14 teeth gives the feel of a 13 teeth.

                  Hey Vikas,

Do you need the complete set of the panels ie right, left & the centre joining both the panels over the tail lamp. Also do u need the D-FI logic panels?

Will check out & let you know.

Once you go for taller gearing, you won't go back to stock I know that you won't too, because you have already seen what taller gearing does to the engine with your previous experience with the cbz. That's why you are so adamant about going for taller gearing.

Why i discouraged you at first, was because if you are not aware of needing to keep swapping gears in city then the valvetrain will bear the brunt of it.But the benefits are huge! isn't it? It will increase engine life, increase the clutch life, increase the chain and sprocket's life ,increase the mileage etc.So try it out,i have ridden 15 teeth on bangalore's congested traffic and had no issues with it.

Go for the 39 rear and try out the 14 and 15 teeth gb ones.If you go for F2 chain sprocket kit, then you would need to take out a link or two and still it might not be right. So stick to fiero chain sprocket kit and then try experimenting with the gb sprockets.

Okie & I assume you had 15/39 on a stock bike, Noted about the Highway, how does it bet in City riding ? Do we need frequent gear changes or Is it manageable ?

I will buy F2 set up ( 14/40t) & also buy separately the 15t from Centra, will try the 15/40t & Keep the 14t as spare to use it if required.

I hope 15/40t will do good for both city & Highways

Yes when the bike was stock it had 15/39 for close to 6 years and yes it is very manageable in city riding too.The thing is ,you won't be able to put 4th in most of the congested roads/inclines.But i used to ride on west of chord road most of the time and there it was a boon,it's the same on slopes/flats too.

The centra has a 14teeth one,you would have to buy RX135 or RX100 ones for 15 teeth gb sprocket.Bajaj won't fit.

Why i am insisting on you to go for fiero chain sprocket kit is, because the chain might end up being either too tight or too slack when it's link or taken off or retained. If you want to go for the F2 chain sprocket kit ,then change the swing arm too.

I have used the 14 and 15 teeth ones without any problems with the fiero chain. So my advise is,go for the fiero chain sprocket set up,or go for fiero chain with F2 40 rear.

I will go for stock fiero Chain sprocket kit + 15t from Rx 135 or Rx 100

I will use this & If I am not satisfied with Initial torque, will get hold of 14t from Centra & use it.

PS - I hope RX 135 or RX 100's 15t front sprocket is a direct fit

When it comes to gb sprocket NEVERdo any "jugaad" with it.Even if there's slight slackness ,it will ruin the shaft.

I don't know about hero honda sprockets fitting suzuki or yamaha bikes.Try it out.But the thing with gb sprockets is ,they either fit or they don't!!
