Let me check it again tomorrow.Originally posted by SparKot View PostWhat are the rpms at which you're down shifting without clutch disengagement?
Possibly not. But a very few riders are not disengaging clutch while shifting gear. I too am not recommending it.Originally posted by SparKot View PostCan we be spectators when GS150R's engine is dismantled at SVC for say something like replacing worn out clutch?
Oil they filled is Castrol 15W-40 Power 1 semi synthetic. It is a good oil and I am using it from the 1st servicing of my GS. Price of the oil is Rs. 350/- for 1 litre and of oil filter is Rs.40/-. So, I guess, they have filled 1 litre of oil instead of the recommended 1.100 litre if oil filter is changed. Check the oil level tomorrow and add another 100 ml of oil if necessary.Originally posted by kksin123 View Postvalue added service Rs. 60/-...what is this.
The mechanic may have used some cotton waste to clean his hands while servicing and he may, perhaps, have poured a few drops of engine oil here and there on the chain to lube it. That 60 rupees is the value of these ‘added services’; I think. So ignore it to keep the relationship with the SC warm.

They're filling Semi-Synth in the first service these days? Nice improv though.
Never heard of bikes being delivered to office. How far is the SVC from your office? There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa

Re: Suzuki GS150R
Sir, no offence meant but can u think of something that the dealership or svc would do to keep customer relationship warm. As it is the service schedule is too frequent at 50 days. Added to this are these knick knacks. Why always customer is bearing the bruntOriginally posted by punarvasu View PostLet me check it again tomorrow.

It is 1.1 litre when replacing oil filter but I dont think svc center guys do it rigorously.Originally posted by kksin123 View Posti have checked the oil level in centre stand....it shows around 75percent filled...it seems they have not filled it fully..or is it normal

Re: Suzuki GS150R
Automobile dealership and workshop is a business demanding investment of huge amount of money. Don’t expect anything free from there.Originally posted by venkan12 View PostWhy always customer is bearing the brunt.
Do the routine maintenance works yourself as a lot of the bikers do and go to the SC only when major repairing is needed.
Are you sure the bike was straight when you checked the oil level? Hold the bike upright when it is cold without centre stand and check the oil level again. The level must be between the “L” and “M” marks on the oil window. Excess oil does not provide more protection to the engine but damages it. So, drain the excess oil if over filled.Originally posted by kksin123 View Posti have checked the oil level in centre stand....it shows around 75percent filled...it seems they have not filled it fully..or is it normal
While changing oil, the mechanic removes the oil drain bolt, waits till the continuous oil flow stops, refits the drain bolt and fills 1 or 1.1 litre oil. If the quantity of oil drained is less than what is filled, it results over filling.
Buy a 17 mm socket spanner and its lever (It is safer than ring spanner.) and an 8 mm T spanner from shops selling tools, oil cleaner from the SC and change the oil yourself, next time. This ensures longer, trouble free engine life.
100 ml packets are not available. I bought two 1 litre jars and am keeping the oil left for next oil changes. Here too, as usual, some experts may be against it. I am not an expert; so this is what I do.Originally posted by venkan12 View PostDo we get 100 ml of oil in the market for top up.

Re: Suzuki GS150R
Yesterday I was able to b3at an apache rtr 160 from a standing start at a signal. I tried this on purpose but I beleive the apache guy was a bit cautious with his revs. Should try again with a friend.
