As far as a spare one is easily available at the SC, the number is not at all relevant to the rider. So I didn’t notice it. Unfortunately, that page of the user's manual with me with its details is not legible.

      BIKE STARTING PROBLEM

Hippeee I believe I found a solution for my bikes starting trouble.
After Opening the fuel petcock leaving the bike aside for a minute or two, then pressing selfstart seems to solve my problem.then my bike starts instantly..
My blackbeauty(GS) seems to be bit lazy after sleep..

But the kick start does not works.I can feel the compression. But unable to start the bike with kick start.only sometimes it works

Experts, can you tell me what should be the best rating for CO & HC as part of the CO test? I was told CO should be 0.15 to 0.30. Is this correct? What should be HC level?

You alright buddy? No one here is interested in which village you live, which standard did you drop out from, which colour of pants do you wear etc. You laughably attempted to doubt others' experience as well. And then you have audacity to call others names for imaginary accusations? Rather than bashing others who happen to have better English, why don't we try improving ourselves?

Also, please use appropriate thread for Gixxer discussion, and keep this thread for GS150R only.

We all know you are one among the best solution provider here,

well you works for suzuki or ducati or a local mechanic shed that doesn't matters and same thing goes with village or city or remove village or hi-tech city where you live is not the one this forum members want to know

Shakespearian English or butler English we just want a mechanic's English thats enough for us to communicate among one another.

"my own enjoyment" OMG i don't know how to enjoy on my own self

my bike is going good with lesser maintenance cost, after 3 + years just crossed 18,000 kms on odo

He's Punnu haniya(diljale)! You need to carefully go through posts from last year(hoping not deleted!) where he headmasters people for voicing their concerns! It got so bad that anything posted randomly and not even 'addressed to him' seemed to be taken personally by him and I was quite taken aback by his harsh policing of the thread! I am not sure who could possibly not get a good picture of how Punnuji likes to endorse and keep the brand name polished and clean. People were accused of imaginary problems with their bikes and the diktat was "keep quite and just ride the bike, you're imagining things"! You'd never know he's quite a case by himself if you've not noticed his historic brand policing. And I'd be damned if I've seen a well informed infantile ego maniac like him ever! Lol.. [emoji1]

                Just a heads-up,

Did a Poona-Amboli on my 3+ month old GS, just after completing the second service. On my way back i went all out just to check how she handles it. A distance of about 360kms was covered in 4hrs, 25mins. Averaging 80kms/hr.
I rarely slowed down below 100km/hr all through AH47/NH4. Top speed (on the speedo) was mostly 105, it's only when there was a gentle slope did it go higher, seeing a maximum of 116km/hr.
The only problem was that my ears were buzzing for about 2hrs after the trip! An open-faced LS2 to blame. I'll probably wear low Db plugs on my next.

Even in windy conditions the bike was rock steady and very comfortable. My only gripe was the FE, at those speeds it returned just 33kmpl! A bit of a disappointment, i was expecting something like 45kmpl. I theorize, slowing down to 75km/hr (23-25% off the top) should see a 20kmpl jump (i.e. a FE of 50+kmpl), or a 60% jump in efficiency.

Considering i intend to cover longer distances FE has become a concern. I am going to do a bit more testing on this to analyze the sweet spot, which i think would be around 70-75 (Where one can cover decent distances without giving too much away in terms of efficiency).

                Suggestions much appreciated.

PS: I met with an accident before this trip, not sure if that may have added to a drop in FE for whatever reason, change in some setting perhaps?!
There was no detectable leakage or major damage though. And thankfully ICICI did a great job at the settlement!

                Cheers.

Dream machines in increasing order of drool-worthiness: 2015 CB110EX, MG v7 Classic, Explorer XC, Bandit 1250. And somewhere between that, a V-Strom 650 for when I am out of that dream and into the real world.

                  Hello..GSpians

My name is Murtaza living in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I have been a silent reader of xbhp since 2009. I own first batch GS150R, clocked just 22k on odo. As bike was not used much intially for couple of years. Well...bike is rock solid. No problem bike. Though being a first batch bike, i did not face any rusting issues in fuel tank or anywhere else.
Even after owning it for five years, i still give it a look after parking

Here are some pics of my bike.

I need your help to know , if my bike is finally transfered to new owners name or not.
i got below scan copy from the new owner claimimg the bike has got transfered to his name.

As per him RTO of Ahmednagar has , put a stamp on existing RC certifcate mentioning his name. And as per him as well as few other agents it is now officially transfered to his name. Only thing it is manual entery & smart card can not beissued as the original RC book of vehicle is rom Aurangabad & it is not in smart card format.
Still i want to cross check if it is valid / Ok. Please find below picture

My bike will complete 1 year under my ownership on this month's 13th. I am having a problem since a few days now. At ~4500rpm i feel whole chassis vibrating. The source of vibration is somewhere near the engine I think. It happens in all the gears at same rpm. Please give your valued inputs on this. Thank you.

p.s. This is not the silencer resonance(i.e. not vibrations at ~3500rpm).

                              • Is buying Suzuki GS150R is worth in current scenrio ?

                                Hello Friends,

I am planning to buy a new bike .... my budget is not more than 80K... Staying in Delhi Height is around 6.5".

Infact, earlier too I wants to purchase this bike due to its height and mainly for its sixth gear too, but dropped the idea due to finance and brought stunner in 2013.

                                I don't want to pinpoint + / - of my bike (Stunner).

How much price I get achieved while selling my bike, which is almost 1 year old, runs only 9830km with no single scratch and almost in showroom conditions.

My office if 35km far from my home.. which means total journey is around 70km , in which 70% is highway journey.

Now my confusion is that GS150R is almost 5 years old bike which hardly gets any upgrade in mechanical area since it launched.

IS it worth in buying this bike now? or shall I considered other bikes like Hero CBZ / Hero Hunk (If available in market).

Please pitch some light on this.. and help me in clearing my doubts.

                                Thanks in advance
                                Gagan
