Oh Thanks Animeher And Madhu...I will go pondy main dealer soon put a ROAD SHOW outside ShowroomOriginally posted by animeher View Postakfara: Shanti brother. As someone said above, try to get Suzuki fix the problems, or acknowledge the prolems in warranty period. After warranty, they are not responsible in any way. if they acknowledge the problems now, then atleast it will be binding for them to repair those particular problems.

Mr.Vishnukmd,I hope you never face the reality that I face daily...........a tough world of business involving construction and real estates, otherwise I think you would be mincemeat before you say we meat funnyOriginally posted by vishnukmd View PostThat is due to the difference in the realities we meat and in the difference in the way we judge them or analyze them. That is a different subject you cannot understand.
The doubt Sooraj expressed was about tank corrosion and he asked whether it is possible to paint inside the tank or use some anti-corrosion coating. Here is his question:
Now, Mach50, where is the scolding? Where is the humiliation? Which word in my writing is abusive? Which word in it is incorrect or misleading? Can you prove that the tank can be painted against rusting? Can you prove that the bikes I mentioned are rust proof in our coastal region? Can you prove that any other bike marketed in India is rust proof in this area?

I do not live in a reality which is rigid, but in the reality which is flexible......atleast my profession requires so,people thinks of their dream homes and I deliver,if that makes you think that I am an outsider or an alien, then I am happy to accept the fact that I am an Extra Terrestrial with intelligence far more superior than you can even imagine.
Well, being in the construction sector I know what Civil Engineers can do and how they make it into their own lives. It is upto the individual that how far he can go to realize his dream amid all adversities. If you are talking about a Reality here, then I musts say we are the ones who set our own inhibitions and assume that as our reality,of someone is happy with that then let him live by it.........someone else would try to make their own realities more sober.
Next, why would I want to prove that there is some tank coating available against rust ???? I don't require it !!!! I am also unaware if the insides of the tank can be coated against rust, and to Sooraj KS's simple question my answer would be "I am unaware of any such coatings" and neither do I have the right to tell someone to go to study or go and watch a movie........who am I to tell that ???
You are asking me whats wrong with your phrase???
Well,I say, if its a joke then nothing's wrong and it infact is good if someone calls you "Oye" then.
If it is not a Joke then ask KS Sooraj what is wrong.
Atleast what I know is that respect is earned by deeds and is not gained by force defining some orthodox rules.
The first Aircraft was flown powered by an Internal combustion engine meant for a two-wheeler..............to certain people even that would be misleading.
@psr: Since you know a lot about TVS and Suzuki motorcycles, can you help me with two questions.........
1.If GS150R engine is the Fiero engine evolved, then can the Crank of GS150R take the Cylinder bore out of RTR180 ???
2.I want to change the Final Drive of a certain Bike which offers 13/44.For more top speed and without sacrificing acceleration,I have sorted out two altered set-ups,13/42 and 14/44,can you please help me as to how will the two different set-ups change the power delivery and torque patten of the bike ??? (The bike in question offers peak power @8500rpm and peak torque @ 8250 rpm.)Hell's Angel

Anup, Mazaid and psr,
There is no rust inside the tank. Now I have cleaned it with a piece of cloth dipped in petrol and I cannot say that it is rusting.
Anyway, I have contacted the sc and asked for a replacement, which they readily agreed. But the problem is that, the graphics on the new tanks are different and if I use it some other parts will not match. So I am in a dilemma.Last edited by vishnukmd; 01-31-2011, 06:00 PM.

Abdul Khadar,
I agree that you may have got a faulty bike. It may have manufacturing defects or you are not getting proper service or as the service center is far away, you are not be able to contact them frequently.
As you know, there is a number of very good and more advanced cars such as Micra, Figo, Polo etc in the market. But they cannot compete with Maruthi in sales because of lack of service centers. People hesitate to buy these cars, even though some of them are very advanced, due to this after sale service problem.
All of us have concern towards you. But what can we do in this matter other than suggesting some remedies? It seems that you are not ready to do anything.
There are two options left. Try to do any of it.
1. Reach Pondy sc and explain the problems in detail and get them rectified. Get the bike thoroughly checked and accept whatever their findings are.
2. Approach the nearest consumer court through a reputed advocate and demand a replacement of bike or repayment the cost you paid.
Please remember that continuous nagging will not solve the problem. It will give you the image of an irritating person and company will not mind you. So, take a decision and act accordingly.

Why replacement?
@ Vishnu
If that is what everyone calling rust, I guess mine too have some tints of rust in the tank. But i found it only on the opening mouth of the tank. But on cleaning with a cloth everything was gone, thought it would be normal for every bike.
From the day I bought the bike, I never filled more than 8 liters. 90 percent of time I would be filling 100 rs worth fuel on reserve so that I can find R-R mileage quick
. Now I'm a little worried.

Gave my GS for 8th free service today. So far covered 15530 kms and still going strong

BTW I was also thinking of the same problem. What is the meaning of valve clearance??? It is given in the service procedure chart in the manual to check the valve clearance during each service. What does it actually mean???
Also got the pilot lamp LED converted to DC with the help of a local mechanic (The same one who installed Splitfire cable in my GS)
It was done the same way as someone else had mentioned in a previous page, ie, drawing a wire from the tail lamp area, specifically from the license plate light connection.
Now the pilot lamps are flicker free and are real bright

Also dumped the SC oil and found Motul 3000 4T Plus mineral oil.
But the mechanic forgot to replace the oil filter and had to reopen the side cover resulting in some oil loss

Initial feeling is that Castrol power1, which I used last time, is better than Motul Mineral.Suzuki GS150R (2009)
