  • but Suzuki is not a big sponsor of Xbhp like Castrol or Ceat
Perhaps not of the site but of the mag?

To quote sunny from xbhp mags's second issue editorial: "At this point, I would like to thank Suzuki, CEAT and Canon for (being) the first ones to come on board with us for long term......"

He's mentioned Suzuki as a long term supporter (perhaps sponsor). Suzuki's name comes first too...if you want to read any meaning into it.

They only provide bikes and back up for various Xbhp rides
Thats a damn valuable and pretty major contribution in my books. Also, in the the GODS ride triplog in issue 2, its mentioned that suzuki "wholeheartedly" gave rides, riding gear and trip finances as well. The use of the term "wholeheartedly" could suggest a previously existing relationship for all their types of support.

But I think, after the Delhi GODS campaign something big is cooking too !!!
Dont know about that. Cant see anything special about it. Anyway, there was a triplog of the same ride in issue 2.

Now that Im going thru issue 2 again, GODS' ride didnt seem like official xbhp stamped.....no one from xbhp core team were present on the ride, sunny and OF showed up in a pic flagging off the ride only.

Lights flickering at low rpm is normal for gs. it even out after some 3000 rpm if you have noticed.
No. The sound is there even at 2000 rpm in lower gears. In higher gears its not audible.(may be there is no sound at higher speeds or may be ive not yet noticed it)

For those who remember me : After my tryst with the GS & getting back on my Fiero & completing 1L on the odo(still running strong), I got a new ride for myself, a silver Karizma 2011 model.

          Here are some pictures.

          Please scroll down little

Have a happy & safe riding.
Hi Vishal... Great to see you back in GS thread and your Karizzzzma... Wish you many more miles in your karizma also...

Guys am canceling my trip to home town this weekend due to some personal reasons.. Hope to go in the weekends to come...

I don't know why my bike performs at its best when its time for service I presume am not the only person feeling like this... anybody with me ??? Few things I noted for the past 100 kms... Acceleration is smooth.. the grunt sound after 5K rpm has reduced and the bike seemed to be smoothly revving.... Is it because of the oil change I made 200 kms back ??? Is there anything called oil brake-in ??? and is it around 100kms ???

But as u know, riding everyday will make us more curious about certain things and I certainly am curious about some..

            1) There is some grinding noise which seemed to me like knocking. But its not knocking noise...Its something else but i cant place that sound. Can u pls tell me wat that sound is?
grinding noise and knocking are different, until you say clearly we cant help you, all SVC people are not bad and their should be at least two senior knowledgeable SVC guy can find in any SVC if you are not able to explain the sound here you can contact SVC for a fix, if they disagree just compel them to come with you for a ride and prove it.

it may be loose in silencer joint also who knows ask SVC

they are mot politicians so you can trust them

            2) I noticed today while riding home from work that my lights flicker a lot when the bike is stationery.. Is that so with u guys too or is it something to do with my battery.?
this is already answered and i agree with that

Anupji, madhuji, guruji, parleg, ....... No just call us by name Bikers are evergreen hero's and always young so please don't call us like a golden oldies

am with you Augustine, Because of my bikes stellar performance i missed the date of 6th service and just two days ago they did the 7th service

Oil break-in its there in a max of 100 kms the oil settles down with the running temperature, behavior and characteristic of the engine and those things depends on your riding style

in easy term new oil need to get adjusted to the engine and they work together to make more smiles after it passes the first few miles

Thanks for your good words buddy. Whenever I see these kind of posts I remember myself a year back. Buying an unknown bike solely on the awesome reviews in Internet, against recommendations of friends and cousins. As Vishnu says PPA(Post Purchase Anxiety) was at the highest. Just after riding the bike home, I was sure that I didnt make a mistake .

The reviews helped me to make a decision, so the least I could do is to help new owners who will be very anxious. Usually those who are have a trouble free bike remains silent and all we could see is posts by not so lucky guys.

I guess the grinding noise you mention is the noise of drive chain, especially coming from the primary sprocket. Keep the bike in center stand and ride the bike in gears close the throttle and see if what you were mentioning is the same noise. If it is then try lubricating the chain

              Sorry for the long post

              • Concerns for Tail light

Does the tail light always remains on??? I noticed yesterday the same. when my bike's lights are not on, then too my bike's tail light is on. Brake light is working OK when applied.

                • Usually they are not on. Check if the headlight button is in parking light mode (middle position).

How you determined that its not the break light

Because in the light button off mode, when I am pressing the break lever, the break light is getting on. when i release the lever the break light goes off, but still the tail light is on.

                          Hi Anupji,

The noise is certainly not from the chain. Its coming from front and that too from engine side.. Will check ot for a few days and if gets any louder or frequent, then il visit SVC.

Hey i think i am also facing the same problem. Is that sound like the sound which comes when we ride bike in higher gear but at low speed and then bike starts knocking a bit. The sound coming in my case is from somewhere frontside and its like the sound i mentioned above but in lower scale. Also the sound is max when we have just up shifted to a gear and its min when we are at the peak speed of any gear and on the verge of changing the gear but it again starts after changing the gear.
