Pls clarify
Hi Guys. Bikes good. Just a few things i wanted all u learned ppl out there to clarify.
1- On the visor, the Suzuki logo is stuck. thats actually a print-out which is stuck on my bike. Is it so on all bikes. Or am i mistaken?

2 - When i start my bike in the mornings, it starts alright but gives a feeling that there is no petrol. It jerks a bit but is fine after about a minute or so? Why is that & is it happening to other users as well?
3- Is this the 2010 model?
4- After i park my bike after running it for a km or 2, there is a tic - tic noise that comes from the engine. Wat is that noise and is it harmful?
5- At idle, my rpm is close to 1500.. Is that fine. Bought the bike just 6 days back.
Pls clear these doubts for me. Thanks.Ride Safe so U can Live to Ride another Day!

You have not asked about it and hence I did not answer. What is it? Can you please elaborate a little? Multiple personality or split personality is dangerous. This disorder may lead to criminal behavior. Some well known criminals and terrorists have this duel personality disorder. That is all I know about it. Will it do?Originally posted by mathewsyriac View PostDear Vishnu....
This is the not the only bike i have ridden on earth
I didn't say anything in contrary.
and i have two more bikes apart from this.
You are lucky. A very few have more than one bike.
Even those bikes have clutch leaver, engine and similar things.
That is common. Every bike has it if it is not a toy bike.
It is not the sweat reaction, I have seen the SC guys doing touch up on the leaver almost all bikes piled up for service... and the worst thing is the touchup what they did made my fingers even worse
May be. I may have misunderstood. It is not happening in my case. Further, my profession is not connected with bikes or any other automobiles. So, please excuse.
And about the mileage, i have been checking R-R method since the time i purchased this bike.. even full tank method also i have checked.
R to R or full tank to full tank methods are not correct. Try the can/jar method.
and I don't understand how u can say that once bike is not defective without even having a look about it.
It is a secret; so please don’t spread it. Most of you worship God and some, Godmen too. (Some of these Godmen have paranormal or abnormal power to create substances such as ash, gold ornaments, Swiss made luxury watches, precious stones etc. But they never crate food grains, which I don’t know why).
As you worship God, I worship Satan. Yes; Lucifer himself. As his worshippers are few he can spend more time for his worshipers. There is a problem of existence too; if no one worships, how can these super natural beings exist?
I got 99.992% information from your description; I guessed 0.006% and the balance 0.002% was supplied by Satan, whom I worship. Please do not tell others.
Maybe ur bike is good, doesn't mean that mine is the same... Or I don't know how to ride
One request from my side is that before u stress upon your points, please make sure that u go through the previous posts of whomever u r replying
Shall try. But I have no special or personal points to stress. Remember that I haven’t asked you to replace anything in your bike. More than that, the mechanics too have expressed the same opinion that the bike is trouble free. Will you be satisfied if I ask you to replace some parts of your bike or if I blame the mechanics who are helpless before your arguments?
please understand his knowledge level about the bikes
Done. Now I understand what your knowledge level is.
and then respond accordingly.
Surely.
To be frank, I have no patience reading all posts.
Then how do you think that I have this patience?
So in such cases i don't stress my points
I too am doing the same. No stressing.
Hope u get what i am trying to say. Still, the multiple personality of this bike is not answeredLast edited by vishnukmd; 02-04-2011, 12:27 AM.

One of your previous posting (No. 9738, page 974) read like this: “Two years back, I had enough time to spend with my bike. But now since business got tight, and since there is no use driving all the way to SVC, I think it is better to concentrate on work rather than going behind a hopeless deal”.Originally posted by mathewsyriac View PostI have also left my bike for about 4 days with the SC head, don't really know what he absorbed and did with it.....
Have you changed your mind and got enough time to drive all the way to SVC?

I am clear about your points.....
Sorry, if i have misunderstood u and been harsh with u
Ok let me explain about the multiple personality thing......
In the morning time, when the engine is cool, the bike is butter smooth....
Usually i ride for about 3kms to reach my shop...
Then i may go to the electronic market which is about 13kms from my shop....
On return, the engine feels rough and pickup also drops... Seems like the bike runs out of oil... at this time, the knocking sound is audible and the engine feels stressful...
Next day again it becomes smooth.... At this time i don't hear any sort of knocking...
So, behaviors is the same day

My Other bikes behave the same throughout...

It was just my current opinion which i stated, and did not say that i don't go to SVC...
I usually get a standby vehicle from the SC and go back according to my free schedule... And Mr.Kalyan, the SC head has always been very polite to me
Previously i used to sit with him when servicing almost 3 or 4 hours observing things during service.... Now I don't get that much time to spend on my bike and moreover issues are not sorted out...

Good that u are scanning thoroughly through posts

But u only think From the Devil's point of view. Maybe u should start worshipping GOD instead of Lucifer ... Will do good to u and others...
Take care bro........Last edited by mathewsyriac; 02-04-2011, 04:03 AM.

No the stock battery cannot support a fully blown HID unless its charging rate is increased and in order to increase the charging rate you have to rewind the coil and change the RR to one which supports Direct phase of current.Originally posted by segagt_0 View Postand can our gs' 7 amp batt support 35 watt hid without coil rewinding and all??
..........or in one word you have to convert your vehicle to full DC.
If you just replace the stock lamp with the HID,then it will draw from AC current which would cause the light to flicker hopelessly at low rpms and would look awkward.
HID and stock Lamp differs by the same rate principle by which Tube light and Bulb differs, now you can imagine that we can take flickering of a bulb but its really irritating if a tube light flickers.Last edited by MACH50; 02-04-2011, 11:47 AM.Hell's Angel

My answers are in boldOriginally posted by varunbikerboy View Post1- On the visor, the Suzuki logo is stuck. thats actually a print-out which is stuck on my bike. Is it so on all bikes. Or am i mistaken?
Didn't understand the point
, please clarify. Is it the position of sticker on your wind shield?
2 - When i start my bike in the mornings, it starts alright but gives a feeling that there is no petrol. It jerks a bit but is fine after about a minute or so? Why is that & is it happening to other users as well?
Its normal in all bikes, just let the bike idle for half a minute without throttle or minimum throttle. If the idle rpm is set correct you wont need to apply throttle . Since yours is a new bike you may need to apply a little throttle
3- Is this the 2010 model?
Definitely its a 2010 model, the flint grey dont come in dual tone color scheme.
4- After i park my bike after running it for a km or 2, there is a tic - tic noise that comes from the engine. Wat is that noise and is it harmful?
The sound is due to catalytic converter. When the metal strips in the cat-con cool, they contract by making that Tik-Tik sound
. Dont worry about
5- At idle, my rpm is close to 1500.. Is that fine. Bought the bike just 6 days back.
I assume the rpm mentioned is when the engine is hot (after riding some kms). Recommended cold & hot rpm is 1100 and 1400 rpm respectively
.
Happy biking.Last edited by Anupdas; 02-04-2011, 10:49 AM.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

answers are in blue colorOriginally posted by varunbikerboy View PostHi Guys. Bikes good. Just a few things i wanted all u learned ppl out there to clarify.
1- On the visor, the Suzuki logo is stuck. thats actually a print-out which is stuck on my bike. Is it so on all bikes. Or am i mistaken?
Thats normal its a sticker only not painted or embossed this is applicable for all the stickers in the bike
2 - When i start my bike in the mornings, it starts alright but gives a feeling that there is no petrol. It jerks a bit but is fine after about a minute or so? Why is that & is it happening to other users as well?
their are two possibilities
1.might be the fuel knob is closed or you just opened it
2.if it does like that do see the rpm and adjust idle if RPM goes below 900 (on cold)
3- Is this the 2010 model?
yes thats one of the fault free 2010 model GS
4- After i park my bike after running it for a km or 2, there is a tic - tic noise that comes from the engine. Wat is that noise and is it harmful?
thats also normal, what actually going on was the catalyst converter [which is located just below the place where you check the oil level and close to the silencer ] converts the unburnt or left over fuel, the sound is normal and present in many newage bikes
5- At idle, my rpm is close to 1500.. Is that fine. Bought the bike just 6 days back.
thats normal if the idle you said was hot (after running 5 + kms)
Pls clear these doubts for me. Thanks.
@ akfara thats right
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
just got my bike back from 7th service, haven't done the 6th service on time went almost 25 days late they did the 7th service instead.
servicing cost is 250 rupees
here my only complaint was chain loose, after service the bike was good and pickup is better, but now the hot rpm stays at 1700 to 1800 RPM
shall i bought it down to 1500 RPM ?
my GS150R engine sound is very high and irritating only while driving with helmet, with out wearing helmet i

hardly hear the engine sound and that to if i bent and stay close to tank [ the sound is coool]
think the branded ISI helmet is the culprit

how many of you have such kind of noise amplification helmets

Actually, our body acts as the sound carrying medium.. So when the external noises are eliminated, we hear the engine sound more precisely.
Next time we take our bikes for service, we should ask the mechanic to wear a helmet when test driving the bike

May be you got a noise cancellation helmetOriginally posted by 2strokerama View Postmsn1: oi!!! my case is exact opposite.
While wearing helmet, grinding is almost non existent, it sounds nearly as smooth as the day I bought it. Without it, I can clearly make out mixie sound.....as if the noise is dispersed to the sides.
Push SVC to fix the issue brotherSarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

Thats why they are called supernatural beings... They are independant while natural beings like us are dependant..Originally posted by vishnukmd View PostAs you worship God, I worship Satan. That was a good question to begin with. But unfortunately this is not the place to discuss on those issues. I guess there is another place in xbhp where we talk on topics other than biking. I see quite a good number who discuss philosophy here. The mods might take action if we do the same here.
Well my bike has crossed 18.2K on the odo... Changed the oil last sunday (The legendary Motul 20W40).. will be taking my bike to my home town tommorrow. Milleage fluctuates between 43 and 49 with 99% city driving. am happy with the bike
