The roughness you mentioned may be a mere feeling. How can someone point out a reason for this problem? Was the oil changed at the time of the first servicing?
It is not wise to ride with a loose chain. Tighten it now and this alone may be enough regain the feeling of smoothness.

Its the sound from swing arm, caused by rain water or rainwater with mud entered swing arm area and making noise as it swing while riding.

Ask your friend to hold the vehicle and you tried to press the back seat to get shock absorbers in to action you will hear the same sound.

SVC will fix the issue for you

After reaching 45 kmph the wind noise and momentum of the vehicle (you will ride at 45 only if the road is good, and work for shocks is less) make the noise disappear

The power, torque, and engine compression ratio all remain the same, meaning there is no change in engine.

Wheelbase reduced from 1340 mm to 1335 mm

Width increased from 775 mm to 785 mm

The only new thing seems to be the front cowl.

Cant say if the tank and exhaust have any minor changes, if any.

So, basically, this is just a cosmetic change. Sad part is they seem to have stopped the gray color.

But while i inquired in suzuki show room in Hyderabad He said weight has been Reduced about 5kg and exhaust is changed and compretion ratio, and wheel base ,height reduced .. better pick up and top end ....

              • finally going with the flow Suzuki has launched refreshed GS with minor tweaks and introduced white color.

reduced wheelbase: 5mm...lets see how it's going to affect handling.

increased width: it's maximum width, measured at handle...so we can safely say that there's a new handle...a bit straighter towards front. I personally feels this is good as now that handle can be lowered a bit more without touching tank while turning to either sides.

reduced comp. ratio: I doubt if they have really changed it or in previous version's specs they just rounded off 9.35 to 9.4. if its has changed there's definitely some change in piston/ head shape.

to me new bike looks sexier than before but old visor still looks better. new graphics are a welcome change. removal of fork boots make it look a bit leaner.
I am eager to know of there is all DC setup. may be today i'll visit Suzuki showroom and check out.

Wait for the hard copy manual book, because we are waiting for some one to upload it, as officially it is not available online yet.

Grease needs to be applied to the swingarm joint where it connects to the chassis.

Slightly shorter wheelbase improves maneuverability/turnability, but reduces high-speed stability. But 5mm difference is not noticeable much.

There is no change in the compression ratio, it remains the same in all models from the beginning, i.e., 9.35:1.

I hope what you are saying is true. Slight weight reduction would be nice. I dont think they took so many months just for a cosmetic upgrade. It seems just the side panel and front cowl have changed and black front shocks.

The bore, stroke, torque, power, and compression ratio have not changed, so it means no changes in engine.

But wheelbase has been reduced by 5 mm, so maybe new swingarm. Width increased by 10 mm, so maybe new handle. Or else, just a new measuring tape

As usual, suzuki does not think it is important to update a lot of details on their website probably.

Or maybe intentionally they dont want to reveal the changes, as old customers might start to demand change of parts.

I am looking whether they still have got the CA RR or is it upgraded!
