        • Need of GS150R wiring diagram

          Dear Friends,

Im in need of gs150r wiring diagram. if anyone of you have, pls let me know.

I have installed an ammeter in my GS150R. And I came to know that, the stock AC generator itself gives more that 8 amp of current. So I want to make use of the stock coil and wiring to make the headlamp to glow more brighter.

Please help me in this issue.

              Interesting thought there!

Can you please post if you can the current reading @ different RPMs with:
              - only Position bulbs on.
              - both position and head bulb on.

Senior members might have a rough/actual wiring diagram of GS150R.. I really hope so..

The total consumption of the headlight, indicators, brake light, clutch, pilot lamps and number plate light is at least 102 watts which means the current is 102/12.5=8.06 amperes. In this situation, how can the headlight be made brighter without rewinding the coil even if you get the wiring diagram?

                  Headlight : 35W
                  Position/Pilot : 10W
                  Indicators/Signal : 20W

that makes others : brake light, clutch, number plate light together draw about 37W.
Can you please break them to individual wattage?

What's the current drawn by stock(halogen)
                  35W headlight during normal operation?

It is the hose for the secondary air injection (SAI) system.

                    Clutch: 6 watts

In addition to these, the horns consume about 1.5*12.5= 18.75 watts.

Are you referring to Mobil Extra 4T 10W-40 semi-synthetic oil?

Which grade and type of Motul Oil are you referring to?

Always it is 35/12.5 = 2.8 amperes, presuming the voltage is 12.5.

                          Thank you, that's very insightful.
Do you think going for 35W 4000k-4300k HID with projector post Full-DC conversion is a good idea?

Sorry. I am always against HID.

I am using the stock cable. The truth is that iridium plug is not giving any benefit other than longer lasting in bikes like ours.
More than that, the difference in the impedance of both cables is mere milliohms and it is not affecting the output (end) voltage considerably.

True. The only benefit of iridium or platinum plug is that it need not be replaced frequently.
