What I mean is, can we feel any difference in performance like acceleration and all ?
I for one could feel the engine revving more freely when I shifted from ECO to normal mode after a few days of continuous driving in ECO mode. Am sticking to ECO as of now since have done only 500kms, and 1st service is not done yet - there is not much scope for power riding within the 5k RPM limit anyway !

    Guys,
Am I supposed to do anything before 700kms/ 1st service?? viz, is any change of oil required ?

    Cheers
    Srini

      • Hi all,

Have completed 850km in odo...18 days from the date of purchase.....speed limited upto 65km/h......

        my experience till date;

        Millage:

Till date have tested 7times.....1st 60.8.....28......34......60.8....42......34......6 1+(till not get reserved).....i couldn't understand my millage..since im not did my 1st service this variation may occour...any differ. opinion plz revert

        Engine:

Somoothest....day by day it gets smoothest.... but lag of pick ups.. i feel my libero g5 can beat the gs.

        comfort:

Best in all...even unicorn just behindthe GS.

Brakes: rear brakes are very poor.
        front one is just OK.
Suspentions: reall good suspention in rear.....front one is just OK...uNI IS BEST IN FRONT SUS.

Look: No other bke can come closer.. in 150 cc premium segment,,,..may be fazer? But tail lamp just uncomparable.

        Road grip: good in class.

Gear box: smoothest ever......but some owners facing troble in down shifting..but my GS no problem in this class till 500km....later gear spacing got changed ie: 2 to 3 gear a long gap....gear to gear some times long gap...2 times need to gear up ... it can be rectified through 1st service i beleive.....

          @ vensan
I've completed 1800 in the odo. I been getting 52-55 all these times of which I'm pretty satisfied until last time when i got only 35.... I believe it also has to do with some petrol bunks who cheat. I used to fill in Indian Oil petrol bunks near my house and have got some bad experiences. Guys I even heard that the Premium petrol is not really premium... So please think twice before going to an Indian Oil bunk. I fueled my bike at a reputed HP petrol bunk(in Pallavaram) and hoping to get back to the original milleage.

Gear box is really smooth except the 1st and 2nd shifts...

Looks.... I agree this is really gorgeous ! There are some saddists in chennai(dont know about other places) who do some scratch when they see a good looking bike. I've got two on the tank like that. (So Its better to have a tank cover)

Talking of disturbed ppl, couple of weeks back somebody ripped off the Metallic 'S' emblem from my cousin's black GS when it was parked on busy main road in anna nagar. Replacing the 3D 'S' would cost Rs.250 each.

                • 140kmph is bit too optimistic. Guess their mileage will be in range of 70kmpl too

I really doubt that.I have till now clocked 120km/hr & the max it can still go is 125-130 & not more than that.

Did you ask them whether they had done that using a Speed Gun or the normal bike meter.

                            • Guys ,
am planning to get a new gs 150r in two days..

But i have some queries...(last minute thoughts i guess)

I took a test drive in bangalore

Tried driving the bike over a slope and the engine was really loud.
When i asked the dealer, he told me it was because the bike being not tuned at all(just arrrived from factory..the bike dint even have a battery)

Is the engine really loud or was it because of being not tuned?

                              Pls reply asap...
