Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Regarding Heat and gear shift difficulty , I would suggest you check for at least 5 mm play at the end of the clutch lever to ensure that the clutch fully engages when you release the lever. Riding half clutch will cause engine heating and hard gear shifts..alternatively try Shell Rimula R4 . It has ZDDP which is likely to reduce moving parts friction and higher detergents to keep the engine clean and working well..Originally posted by #bpk View PostWhen Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Thanks for the reply. Clutch setting is alright. Today i clocked 168 km , and found that gearbox is slightly getting smoother, also felt a bit less heat. Downshifts are butter smooth, upshifts are also improving, let's see what happens after first service [emoji15] [emoji15]Originally posted by psr View PostRegarding Heat and gear shift difficulty , I would suggest you check for at least 5 mm play at the end of the clutch lever to ensure that the clutch fully engages when you release the lever. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
For all the people who are worried about Engine heating, it is normal in a new bike..Originally posted by #bpk View PostHi xbhpian , i have recently purchased 2018 hornet abs from tezpur, assam. I have noticed that after riding about 8 to 10 kilometers my engine starts heating , and when i stop my bike i feel the hot air coming out from my engine. My odo reading is 111km . 1st servicing is yet to be done. Will the heat generation will be less after servicing please reply.
Do 1st servicing on time and let ODO reach 1,000 KM. That heat will go away.. Chill guys. nothing to worry about.
There are lots of technical reasons for that. But I would not go in details here.
FYI my ODO reads 13,700 in 1 year.

Truck oil. New ones are CI4+. Also, recently am seeing an ad for Castrol Turbomax 15w-40 CI4+. Again, this is a truck oil. These oils don't have anti-friction additives (Mb).Originally posted by #bpk View PostBut Shell rimula is car engine oil isn't it ?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
some times gear liver is moving freely and gear shift not happening and and if i leave the clutch little bit and some tick sound coming and gear working ,and when i stopped the vehicle in gear it's moving forward if i applied little bit force. basically it should not move if in gear. idon't think so it's loose chain issue. any suggestions ?.
