I got off the call with Shisa Bajaj earlier today and the engineer there Mr. Jeetendra Goswami has assured me he will check into the update from the company as well.

yes people find it hard to believe that it is a Bajaj. The exhaust note is quite bassy indeed.

ya they told me the same number. but like you said, there are hardly any bikes here. I have seen 2 different white bikes, 1 maroon/plum and no blue ones apart from my own.

Can anybody tell me that do they have a hanging pipe down through the engine cowl? I just noticed it today
In my understanding it could just be fuel overflow pipe but do lemme know if I'm right or wrong and pics would be very helpful

All motorcycles have drain tubes, depending on their design and they usually jut out between the engine and swingarm gap, which is perfectly normal. Some have a single vent, some have a two or three tubes clumped together at the base. Absolutely normal.

But if you find tubes near engine bay, that have clips on them and the end hanging loose, then we need to make sure where they undid in the first place. If you're unsure, post a picture and we can help.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                        THE END

                              Hey Aditya ,
Thanks for sharing this sheet, I hope I have answered the biggest question we all dominar users had.. Will we .. and when will we.. get the fresh update on the ECU.. finallly its here.. and I would like to inform... THIS TIME IT WORKED. I just came back from a 120kms ride just to check again if the power loss issue was there or not...and my answer.. this change works. Now, the bike responds..the way it did when we did our test ride..rememeber.. now with this latest map- one gentle touch to the throttle and the machine responds.

So guy's please be in touch with your respective service centers. It may take a few days for cities which havemt yet received their updates. All authorised service center will be downloading these two files to their bosch machines (112-113, for abs and non abs respectively) soon.

I have had a lenghty meeting with the GM, Northern sales and have given my suggestion on how to improve this bike and what all can be added as accessories to make it a decent touring bike.. suggestion included :- 1) a charger 2) Comfort seating for pillion and a few more. The prime idea of this beauty is for long distances .. but for a pillion it becomes a nightmare as the seat isn't that comfortable. According to me, there can be a difference of opion here, but a good touring bike is something on which we can ride roughly about 120-140kms at one go without taking a pit stop..ofcource after which we need to give the engine some rest too even if we are not that tired and can go more miles. But a ideal bike for touring means this.

Also, as a suggestion for future upgrades given was the Headlamps, mainly the spread on the wings or in other words - the sides. Straight head on, the headlight does its job, but if you ride this bike on a hill or on roads which has twist n truns .. it becomes dangerous, cause when you make your turn, the headlight doesnt light up the area where you need illimutaion the most namely - the sides

why is this because.. 1) the bike is on a bend/lean angle which reduces the throw of light 2) because of the hexa low beam shape which throws light only till a point( during turns)...after which even the high beam is of no help.

I encountered this major flaw with the headlight when i was on my trip to Munsiyari and I had to ride for about 20 kms after sunset ( we got stuck in a jam, else we would have reached our destination before sunset ). It was actually very difficult to judge the turn and to make out if there something on the road that i need to avoid. look at this image .. i hope this explains .. please dont judge my drawing skills .. ahhahahahahah!!!

I have no doubt in this bike but with a few added accessories to support touring this bike will do wonders.

Regarding the mileage I am getting 33-34 city

Have done a small but extremly important mod for ling trips .. a saddle frame. I was helped by a dear friend manas. It's needed so save the saddle bag hitting the rear wheel during turns because of the gap the bike has as well as to protect the body part from scrathes
