Aren't those LEDs? I feel you need to pry open the head lamp and reflector apart. Then, one SHOULD be able to access them LEDs.

They are. But I can't pry open the headlamp reflectors. They're glued to the headlamp glass. :P IDK why TVS did that.

you don't need to open the reflector and the headlamp apart. Remove the headlamp out, you will rubber holders for the beast lights. Pull the holders out.

Will I need to remove the entire headlight assembly?

you can just open the head light housing and access the back of the headlight.

For older models its possible to replace pilot lamps alone by accessing it from the back. To the left and right of Speedo there are two places where the headlight assembly is screwed. Just open that and you can access the back part of headlamp assembly. See if LED lamps are accessible. IMO it should be , replacing entire set just for LED lamps just doesnt make sense.

Just did the first 100+ km ride on my new rtr. Bangalore to anekal (with a few detours).Bike was a pleasure to ride although as its still running in didnt stretch it. In any gear the engine seems to be begging to be let loose . Had a couple of doubts for which could I not find answers for in the thread.

The bike starts idling at 2.5 to 3k after 15 to 20 mins of riding in traffic. On the highways it was idling at 1.5 k to 2k. However while coming back to bangalore i hit heavy traffic and the tacho was swinging between 2k and 3k (very erratically). Is this a cause for concern as the first servicing is yet to be done? The bike has run 250 km and is giving an average of 42.5 kmpl (roughly). Is it running too lean? (at factory setting)

                thanks

I guess your bike is running Rich.. Get the carb. tuned. The idle rpm will be more stable..

relax. It could be that your carb is running a little lean or that happens when the engine gets really hot. Lower the idle screw when this happens. Also, keep checking temperature by placing hand near engine.

This used to happen with my bike too. But after i got it properly tuned, the high idling is gone no matter how long or how heated the bike gets.

Forgive me if it's already been addressed, but if someone can help me get the pilot jet size of the RTR 180 that'd be great. Thanks.

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                            Hi Guys.

After a lot of thoughts and confusion, Finally booked the Black RTR today. Will be getting it delivered on Friday Any tips that I should look out for when I am taking the bike from showroom. I know there's a forum for this specific part, but thought it would be better to ask the RTR owners itself. Thanks in advance

Also, I got a question, somewhere I read that using different lubricant may void the warranty. The showroom guy told 710 Rs for extended warranty upto 5 years. Is it worth taking?

Yes appreciate the info Abhi. Believe it or not, I just guessed it'd be a 20 after the 160s 15 and guess what I am not that bad at all.
