Do fully-synthetic / semi-synthetic oils require draining and refilling like the regular mineral oils? Or does one simply top them up?
Sorry for using the word top up in my previous post.. :P

Yes we need to fully drain and refill.. Any oil whether regular mineral oil or semi/fully synthetic, turns black once it is used up completely and we will have to drain it.. And complete 1 litre engine oil should come out while draining.. Else it means engine oil is leaking either from the nut below or from cylinder head..

You will start noticing vibrations once there oil is used up.. Best thing is to keep checking the color of the oil once it is near it's limit.. For ex : in case of shell ultra, check at 4k km , 4.5k km, 5k km and every 200km after that.. When you find it's almost black , you can change it..
It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

5 years back I saved enough to get her with my own hard earned money
I knew it was going to stay for long long time, but never knew that in these years I will be so close to a non living thing.
With tours ranging from Spiti, Ranikhet, Rishikesh, Lansdowne, Chopta, Gangotri, Jalori and what not. It has always been my side and kept me safe.

I have treated it badly resulting in getting the piston repaired/changed thrice, with no major accidents, it proved that bikes are more trustworthy than humans.

With reaching 60000kms on odo, WHITE DEVIL has been a very good companion.

I still have to show it some places it has never been to.

Thanks for being my side always when no one was

              Hi guys,
I have a peculiar problem here. After i changed the master cylinder kit for front disc, the brake fluid is leaking from the reservoir cap. Svc guys said that i'll have to change the whole kit again and i cannot get that rubber under the cap separately!😢 now i found that the fluid is leaking from under the reservoir too.. What might be the problem here??

That is a huge problem get it changed ASAP..The brake fluid is interacting with the moisture in the air and rain. It will lead to brake fade and failure over time!!
If the replaced component is less than 6 months, its under warranty, provided it was replaced in TVS SVC, You should be able to change it under warranty. Keep the invoice with you as proof of purchase and service carried out. The problem might be with the threading, might be manufacturing defect or the mech damaged it while assembling the master cylinder.
