      How to check the clutch cable?? the clutch was as good as new actually better, no gear slips,no false neutrals, no change in free play ..Suddenly it hardened up & back to normal & all in 5min.. At svc the mech gave me an estimate of 1.5k only for the clutch plate..The clutch plate is worn faster because of F.S oil (Shell Advance Ultra 10W40) or just excessive ware&tear? He claims 4days of work as the whole engine needs to be opened & put back.. Will it take 4 days..??

        FS oil responsible??.......thats strange
        Clutch plate costs around 800INR, check this
        and 4 days is too much. wont take more than 1 day. I got my piston kit changed in 1day, yours is only clutch plate
        IMO its something related to clutch cable, btw whats your odo reading?

                1k is for the first oil change, then if its mineral change it in 2000-2500km mark. TVS Tru4 is not that bad but still if you wantto change, get Shell AX7 is good, Motul 3000 4T Plus 20W40 or Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20W40.

                    Heard that esters in the FS oil tends to damage the clutch plate ( CP as it is made of some non-metal substance)...That is why I got doubt..

                      As per one of the oldest riders Chicane and even Joel FS does not suit RTR. better stick with Semi Synthetic

                        Is it possible to fit a chain guard like new FZ in bottom so that it will be protected by water splashes. Got caught in rain yesterday and today morning chain started crying for attention !

                        I dont want to fit old apache full chain guard.

                          +1.. FS does not suit the raw N rough engine...
                          First got an oil leak..Now a worn out clutch plate...Will revert back to SS BUT not TRU4... Gonna spend 350rs on Shell AX-7 soon..

                            Hi Guys... Query regarding Brakes...

                            My Rear & Front Brakes used to be tight when i bought the bike but after 3k on ODO Rear Brake seems to be loosen though its still as effective as it was but just I have to press Rear Brake Lever much deeper then before & now Same started to happened with Front Lever too after 4.5K OdO...

                            I am aware about Drum Brake tighten method i used to do it on my Fiero after every 300-400km, but in disc need help.

                              Oil leak ? Elaborate...
                              What is your odo reading ?
                              Imo even if the clutch plates have worn out due to FS oil, it wont just burn away in a day without showing any signs of wear and tear.

                                Guys I am going for the semi synthetic Shell advanced AX7 10W-40 and I m going to get it from the shell petrol pump here in Bangalore.

                                Please suggest is the oil good enough as I have completed 13k kms and it wont be a fake oil as it is from a petrol pump.
