Yesterday did a 400kms trip to Berhampur(170kms from Bhubaneswar) and back on NH5.Had to chase a superfast train in which my mom was travelling.Left the station immediately after dropping mom at the station as i had to pick her up from Berhampur.
Maintained 6k-7k rpm for most of the time and the bike felt really stress-free even at 7k rpm where the speeds remain at 100-102km/hr.
I was ahead of the train for the first 90kms but i had to stop to have breakfast at Balugaon(near Chilika Lake). After i finished breakfast i could see the train overtaking me and after that as the roads became worse i had to give up and started clicking pics on the way.

Concrete highway, enroute!!

Reached Berhampur in exactly 3 hours and picked up Mom from the station.Felt weird when you just dropped someone at the station and then picking up from another after couple of hours.

While returning it was already 4:30 P.M. And as it was getting darker so there was no scope to take pics so i made up my mind to ride as fast as long the road permits and to be cautious as the highway runs through many villages. The first 75kms till Balugaon is under construction and is good only in some patches so i had to slow down frequently.Despite that i covered it in just 80 minutes. As soon as i crossed Balugaon it was a non-stop full ripping affair for the remaining 95kms as i maintained speeds of 100-110km/hr with occasional bursts to 120km/hr.i stopped only once for a fuel break. After i filled up fuel in the bike, i found this particular Honda Civic which had a fast driver on-board.Obviously a bike is no match to a car on a highway but i still felt that i had a upperhand when you have traffice to dodge.
Whenever the car was getting caught up by slow moving Indicas and Boleros, i would overtake it but only later i found that the Civic was doing the same thing to me but at speeds of over 150km/hr while i was 30km/hr short!!
Got a chance to compare the speedo readings, When the RTR was doing 114km/hr the Civic was showing 109-110km/hr.I guess even the Civic has some kind of errors in its speedo.

And about the performance of the bike i didnt had any single issue not even with the vibrations(Motul ka jaadoo!!
). It's surprising to note that i hardly experienced any disconcerting vibrations from any of the areas barring the fairing buzz. The bike's cruising zone is between 100-110km/hr. At 7k rpm, it does 100-102km/hr where it has got enough power to for quick overtaking.Hit 122km/hr for a brief period of time. One more thing i noticed was the consistency in performance despite riding the bike at over 8k rpm for most part of the return trip, not even in a single point of time i noticed any drop in performance or engine-overheating.Mileage reported during the whole course of the trip:40-41km/ltr!!

I have no intentions of hi-jacking the thread.Just wanted to share something with you guys about the bike!!

That's exactly what i did.Was expecting someone to point this out here because in Orkut hardly anyone noticed!!
