Using shortforms and incorrect shortened spellings like "cuz" instead of because is not encouraged on the forum
Same goes with "mah" instead of "my".

    Take care.

No major issues encountered other than
        1. Jerking of handle bar while applying front brakes and taking potholes (possibly cone set screw loose issue)
        2. Kick start taking too much time during mornings.

Reported both these issues to svc guys.. Waiting to see the results after servicing.

Got my bike after service.. Both the issues are now taken care of..
        Thanks @Garry_Menace

Overall bike has become more smooth ..feels like its opening up more freely..
Running in period will be over in a few days..So waiting to take her for a long ride soon..

Yes, it is true. But, to some extent only. I mean, yes the tyres aren't THAT GOOD but they aren't THAT BAD either. Confused? LOL... Arre, see the tyres are surely not one of the best grippers but they aren't so bad that you'll fall every now-and-then because of not so gripping tyres. First experience them on your own and obvserve. If you still feel that you can't keep up with them, you can surely change to the better ones. I, personally, do feel that they aren't close to the best ones but I am still running on them because they aren't so bad that I need to change them before they should've been.

          • Guys, today my friend took delivery of his RTR 160, its damn smooth, the gear box is 1000 times smoother than what i have... no vibes or anything...

One more thing i noticed is that the silencer guard is a little smaller(may be due to 160cc) but it has RTR inscribed on it. Can anyone of you find out if we can get a bigger silencer guard for our rtr 180's with rtr inscribed on it?

Since when our RTR started coming up with the BS4 standards, the exhaust plate got changed to the one your friend got. Now, all the RTRs come with that one only.

Bro, the latest batch of 160 and 180 (actually it's been sometime) comes with a short guard with RTR inscribed. So there is no bigger version of it
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

i have also noticed the same thing about the gear box....i used to ride my cousin's 180 which is around 2 years old, the gearbox is a bit stiff but mine which is just 2 months old have a much smoother one...but does have vibes same as that of my cousin's if not more and for the rtr inscription the silencer guard(normal sized one) does come equipped with it

Its a little richer but no harm.If you want more mileage, turn the screw in clockwise direction half turn.

Today while parking my bike, a fellow apachian (a RTR 160 HE owner) came to me and asked whether my bike vibrates @ around 60kmph ..
From my experience, I answered that there is a mild vibration in that speed range, but nothing noticeable and annoying..

Guys ..What's your opinion about vibrations on new RTRs compared to old ones?

Today I've got the TPS replaced by a local Mech. Now the lag between 2.5-4K Rpm is gone. Should have done this earlier. Been having this trouble from Aug onwards. Anyways it's never late. Thank you all

I bought my RTR in June. I have vibrations in the range of 4k-5.5k. Its slight tickle in the handle bar as well in the foot pegs(I'm not sure if all of you have vibes in foot pegs).

@Rtrlover83 even I have that lag problem in the same RPM range. How much does the TPS cost?? I dont think the SVC guys will ever replace that under warranty because according to them its (lag) inherent to all RTR 180s
