Paul , I dunno exactly how, but I have also felt this . More so since I shifted to 10w30 last winter and back again to Motul 3000 4T 20w40 this summer, I could easily feel the contrast . It greatly improves clutch engagement, smoothen out the transmission gears, increases compression and keeps engine cooler too . These 4 effects I am sure of since these things are easily feel-able to me .
To verify this, this winter I shall again shift to 10w30 HeroHonda premium 4T and then to Gulf pride synth 10w30, untill summer comes .

And with premium petrol (IOCL Xtra premium) my fuel mileage goes up on the first fill(4l) by 2-3 kmpl , then on subsequent fills it goes down by 2-3 kmpl lower than regular unleaded . Someone explain this please .

Hmm....now i've to try this too, to see the result myself (will take time ) dunno whether it'll be available in my city. but i'll get it at any cost.

@shoeb and paul-it has nothing to do with oil. of course a good engine oil increases performance but not by so much.
in fact my bike perfomed similar before also on veedol and shell oil. the problem is that for the past 1.5 years my bike was riddled with problem.
1. when i overhauled the engine i opted for original bore kit. my biggest mistake. from the start it leaked compression, consumed oil and gave innumerable troubles.
2. rings were changed at 2k after new bore kit.
3. at 15k after overhaul the piston seized.
4. the engine was bored but that boring guy made the piston so tight that it took 5k kms to free up.
5. as the piston freed up the con rod began to make sound. it was because the engine had seized and thus had affected the con rod and also the tight piston after boring further increased the wear.
6. the engine was opened and con-rod was changed bit we made the mistake of not changing the bore kit.
7. after 5k kms of changing con rod the engine refused to pull beyond 50 kph. i was completly pissed by then and thought not to repair the bike. but last time i decided to open the bore and check. the bore was opened and we saw the one side of bore was worn because of the previous faulty con rod.
8. i was not ready to use new OE bore kit as they were crap. my retailer friend gave the news of USHA bore kit and i immediatelly got it.
After that i got my bikes old performance back.
@paul- joy has best quality materials by any hero honda. regarding high revs just before 4 days from second engine overhaul my friend and i completed a trip of 210 km. he was on his apache 180 and i on my joy. for thirty km i was constantly at 100 kph. you will be amazed as my mechanic tells that he hasn't seen any other bike like this which runs at full throttle non stop that too without consuming a drop of oil.

Thank god at least mine OE bore is running fine till now (16k done)
May be u've got duplicate OE kit coz from where i purchased mine OE bore got caught with fake hero honda parts few months ago. Glad mine to going fine till now.
But the mistake i done is installed a off market con rod, timing chain, roller, clutch plates as i told u before, i replaced everything with OE except con rod because i thought its better not to mess up with that so let it run as it is, but haven't created any problem. Donno about the future hopefully not

Wipe it off as soon as you wash the bike, don't let it dry by itself.
That white spots form because you are using hard-water.

Your horn clips are loose. Just pinch them using a plier so that they are tight. Your problem will solve.
Regarding run-in, i am famous in my friend circle for running-in new engine. Any friend who buys a new bike, first 500 kms he just gives me to run-in the bike. Just two days prior i completed a run-in of my friends new CBR250.
And regarding performance most of the splendor/passion,e.t.c owner never take it to more than 100 kph. So what happens is that gradually the engine feels sluggish. Continuously rip the engine for 2-3 days and you will see that your bike will perform better.
No, the bore was not fake. But the piston had manufacturing defect which expanded on heating.
And do not try this on your CD-dawn, because except my joy i have never tried on any other bike. Not even on my father splendor+. Its because i do not have the confidence that they can perform.
And regarding top speed then 100 kph is not the top speed.
Once while testing the top speed the speedo was stuck at 100 kph then for testing purpose i just lied flat on tank. The speedo immediately rose to 110 kph and began flickering from 110 to 115. It was because the bike was hitting rev limiter in fourth gear that too on a 42 teeth sprocket(passion and all other have 43 or more teeth).I shudder to think if 41 teeth sprocket is used then it will reach more speed.
After riding at 110 kph for 5 km, i just parked the bike at highway side and sat on the railing shivering thinking about it. After 10 mins i came back to senses and just kissed the bike tank.

And regarding those 1.5 years, i faced so much difficulty that i cannot describe. You can say my time was very bad. Almost everywhere worst was happening, be it professional, personal or my bike. Every where there was problem and more problem. You can say that if anyone else would have been then he would have sold the bike. But i am a different person all together. I just go and the more somebody pushes me down i just rise up more and i do not leave. You can say that i am very tough to beat.
Regarding the problem in those 1.5 years i will post in separate post as presently i am going to extreme thread as some one is requiring help.

Guys will the brand of spark plug affect the performance of the bike ..I asked so because when i used bosch performance of my bike reduced i.e power ..and when i used ngk its performance increased..

Yes u'll feel slight difference in each brand and its each model.

Between spark-plugs of same Heat Range-not much difference.
Different/improper heat range-performance may decrease.

Its a bit difficult to find waxpol hard wax anywhere. You may try in hardware shops (selling paint,polishes, etc).
