MRF Zapper Q 110/90-18 TT - Used it in the past. Loved it.
[AB] Downside comes with tyre. Prefer TL.
Pirelli Sport Demon 110/90-18 TL as well as 110/80-18 TL - Best tire I have ever used, but beware of fakes.
[AB] Currently using it and has no match, even less than 50% left still gives me confidence to tilt my bike in wet conditions.
MRF Meteor M 100/90-18 TT - Good tire.
    [AB] No idea.
Michelin M45 - Awesome tire, almost impossible to get due to stopped imports.
    [AB] No idea.

Got the leakage welded for now, as I was not eager to change the fuel tank. Can anyone please let me know how to avoid this in future? Did anyone else faced the same issue. If the tank so pron to leakage??
That tank is a goner , it has rusted from inside out and have to be replaced sooner or later . So better order a new tank at the ASC early . Restoration is very difficult and useful only if the tank is particularly rare to find item , which this is not .

The rusting is not from exposure to daily elements, tank is well painted and not easy to rust from outside . Almost every time you fill petrol a few drops of water also gets in - it's there in the fuel itself at the pumps . Sometimes a lot gets in . I've drained more than a liter of rusty water from my friends wind-125 from a single fill of petrol at a uncovered pump . Anyway , the water inside the tank lies at the bottom and slowly but surely rusts the tank insides . This is because the inside of the tank cannot be painted ( petrol dissolves paint ) - it is just electroplated or galvanised - which does not withstand water contact for too long . Only way to prevent this is to remove & drain the tank every one or two years and wash clean the insides and dry it completely in the sun . I also try to check inside it from time to time with a led-flashlight for signs of rust or water droplets .

Wish we could get fiber tanks like in many modern day bikes !!

I never take unwanted stupid idiotic risks.

110 Q was TT, hence it was used with a tube. 100 Q is TL, hence it is used without one! This tire (100/90-18 Q in TL form) is NOT available in Bangalore. Remember, I got both tires replaced in Bokaro?

sounds like this is directed at me

anyways, I would like to conclude I had such an awesome experience with the 110 Q using it as TL.. the tire does it's job well.. rode it in all kinds of conditions.. terrains, off roads, wet roads, dry roads, on sand and till now the only puncture I had was because of a huge nail.. The tire was losing pressure from the side, but I guess that wasn't due to the tire instead the wheel.. Fixed it with a solution that cost me 100.. done 25000 kms with them and can still do another 3000+

Will opt for the same tire DS has when I look forward to change the tires in few months to come

P.S. Planning for the first bike ride with my Wifey on Black Pearl next weekend

                Because it was!

I don't care if you rode a tube type tire as tubeless for 25 lakh kilometers. All it takes is 1 second for the tire to slip out and cause potentially fatal injuries.
Like it or not, but I wouldn't risk my wife's life for my stupidity were I in your place.

                  blah blah blah

Luckily, it hasn't happened.. So what difference would it make when you used it as a TT and me using it as a TL? Isn't the tire going to slip out either ways? Can you please elaborate so that I can understand better..?

Just because you were lucky should never mean, you'll always be! Anyone for that matter.

Because the tire is tube type, it doesn't have hard sidewalls like tube less tires. In the event of going over a sharp object, one or both things can happen:
                    1. Rapid deflation of the tire leading to deformation OR/AND
                    2. The tire slipping out due to deformed shape.

P.S - I hope you know that rims are different for TT and TL tires. Use a TT tire without a tube to retain/contain air on a TL rim and you're knocking them Pearly Gates!

Yes I will order tank next time I visit the ASC which in a weeks time for routine servicing. They told it will take 2 months to arrive. Can someone tell me the cost of the tank?

It cost 7000 + taxes for ZMA in 2013. Expect it to be similar if not same.

Rims are different for TT / TL ? Err !! That's new to me. In TL tire the side walls are stronger and the construction of tire will be multi layered unlike TT.

I have used Michelin Sirac as TL and worked like charm. Lots of xbhpians have tried n tested it. Side wall is so strong, it can run without air happily. Only drawback for zmr was Sirac's width.

Aha! after a lot of time seeing a Blue ZMR.

I do not know why Hero discontinues the blue colors always. I loved the Blue ZMA, ZMR, extreme, splendor.

I think the Blue ZMR always looks fantastic.

And riding bike to home is always a special feeling to all. By the way whats the distance.

Although most of all here have cars but bike trips are what we always long and cherish.
